Thank you Queen for sharing such wonderful information. Let me summarize the video content: 10 Blood Sugar Management Hacks: 1 Savory Breakfast: Start the day with a protein-rich breakfast (e.g., eggs, meat, tofu) to maintain stable blood sugar levels. 2 Vinegar Before Meals: Drink 1 tablespoon of vinegar diluted in water before main meals to reduce blood sugar spikes. 3 Vegetables First: Begin meals with veggies to slow sugar absorption. 4 Move After Eating: Engage in light physical activity (e.g., walking) for 10 minutes post-meal to lower blood sugar. 5 Eat in the Right Order: Consume meals in this sequence: veggies first, then proteins/fats, and finally carbs/sugars. 6 Clothe Your Carbs: Pair carbs with protein or fat (e.g., bread with avocado) to slow sugar release. 7 Savory Snacks: Opt for non-sweet snacks like nuts or cheese to prevent sugar spikes. 8 Sweets as Dessert: Enjoy sweets after a meal instead of on an empty stomach to minimize blood sugar impact. 9 Whole Fruit Only: Avoid juices or dried fruits; eat whole fruits to retain fiber's protective benefits. 10 Use the Hacks Regularly: Incorporate these tips into daily routines for lasting health improvements. Blood sugar has significant health impacts: Frequent spikes cause fatigue, inflammation, accelerated aging, and chronic conditions like diabetes, PCOS, and depression. Small changes, big results: By following these hacks, you can control blood sugar, reduce cravings, boost energy, and improve long-term health. These simple adjustments make a noticeable difference without requiring you to give up your favorite food

Our bodies have adapted to live in environments where we don't have food, don't have scheduled feeding times, animals eat when they're hungry or require food to maintain bodyweight through periods of hibernation etc. the only statistic we should worry about is quality of food, and trying to stay in a state of caloric surplus so our bodies aren't metabolising themselves for energy (primarily during periods of growth) when you're fully grown I imagine you have a greater resilience to the downsides of caloric/nutritional deficits, as your body has mostly completed it's development stage.

Good health habits become generational. We raised our kids to be mindful of what they eat and to stay away from environmental toxins. Now my daughter's three girls (the oldest is 10) just naturally eat healthy but are totally aware of what eating processed foods do to your body. My 7 year old granddaughter was hungry when we were at a school function which was selling snacks. She saw some grapes and asked the person if they were organic. The lady said no so my granddaughter did not purchase them and decided to wait to eat later at home. When I go to visit I bring organic cucumbers, cabbage, and orange peppers which they eat as a "treat" raw. I am 72 now and consider keeping healthy a gift to my family.

I work in the med tech industry. We deal with fda all the time. I’d definitely agree there are some shady parts of the industry, but for the most part, the FDA looks at clinical studies, the FDA at they were constructed and their outcomes, and decide whether the claims made are consistent with the outcomes. However, there are lots of companies that will alter or finesse their claims to promote their product to the widest audience and rarely with consequences. I’ve also learned that not all hospitals or doctors are trustworthy. After all, we are all human and have our own biases and hidden agendas.

Thanks Glucose Goddess and Stephen for a very useful sharing... Loved this podcast ... now I know why I eat the way I eat ... that's brilliant! If ever I’ve heard of a good reason to eat healthier, I’ve heard it now. To say I fear being dead, ie; being done with this thing called life, is an understatement. This interview is what I’ve needed to hear. I wish I’d heard this information as a child. I don’t know if changing my diet at this late date can help extend my life - but it can’t hurt! You may age backwards up to ten years or more. Exercise and load bearing exercise is very important in this process. You would probably be interested in watching/listening to Dr. Ford Brewer. He has aged backwards a lot and has a lot of excellent information. You would enjoy listening to his story on how and why he changed his diet and other important information. He is in the process of helping many people save their arteries and their lives from heart attack or stroke. He gets it.

@richiemandina3 ай бұрын
Little tricks like vinegar water aren’t going to do anything significant. You really want to change your life drastically? Go carnivore. Humans, no matter what mainstream reasoning and consensus says, evolved over the course of millions of years to eat a diet of basically exclusively meat. Eat beef and eggs as the vast majority of your diet, and cut out all carbs and sugar, and you will be as healthy as you can possibly be. And you can eat as much as you want, never ever have to starve yourself. There’ll be a million sources telling you what I’m saying isn’t true, but if you’re not a fool you’ll be able to do your own research and not be fooled by the lies. Good luck.

Im an ecologist. The real problem is we dont go through famine. So animals will eat tons of fat and sugar in spring and summer, and even consume a lot of carbs through grains into the fall. But then winter comes, and they burn off their fat stores because there is no food. If you become more intuitive to your body and follow your natural rhythms, you might notice that appetite goes down in the winter as there is less light. The problem is we dont have winter like we would in nature. We dont run out of food, we dont get cold and have to shiver. If you want to be healthy you have to be natural. Eating local and in season is really the best way to live a healthy life. More fruits and veggies in spring and summer. Grains in the fall. Then fatty meat and root vegetables in winter.
@TquanAye4 ай бұрын
to be healthy, you do have to be natural but to what extent. I don't think eating grains or vegetables is healthy no matter who you are. Also, what makes you think we need to shiver to be healthy? Even if it was the case, is the stress from the cold really worth the supposed benefits?

Weirdly they are interpreting sugar and insulin interactions - when in reality every cell in the body requires some quantity of glucose and that is the main thing; the liver can store roughly not more than 100 grams of glucose + some can go to muscles, that is the main bit of knowledge one need to know (apart from really ill people) so eat no more than 150 - 300 grams of carbs per day, perhaps occasionally going to low carb days on and off, and that's it, and avoid extra fats in the diet to be around +- 30gr per day that's it.

It's great that you recognize that we are all accountable for what shows up in our bodies to get our attention, we don't just catch illnesses and disease never randomly just shows up for no reason. Everything that goes on in the body is representing the level of connection we have to our own unconditional self-love self-value and self-worth. forgive yourself... because every one of us makes ourselves sick it doesn't come from an external thing or person, we are all accountable for what we choose to think.. which impacts our vibrational frequency, and how we choose to feel, and what we choose to put in our bodies. We are powerful empowered beings and doctors don't want us to know that because they need us dependent on their drugs which keep us in the system, big Pharma and government and media and marketing corporations are all in it together. And we're pretty much just fighting for our lives in an actual video game, especially going to a grocery store, we have to stay on the edges only, as we make our way around the store LOL I stopped contributing to the BS in society decades ago when I started hearing there was such a thing as a flu season LOL who the hell invented the flu season if people wash their hands, got high quality good absorbable vitamin C and got in the Sun for vitamin D, and got balanced rest, there'd be no such thing as a flu season LOL nobody catches things from one another, and things don't just naturally show up in our body, it's a sign because it's trying to get us to pay attention to our childhood trauma or neglect and repressed emotions as well. You might like flows and forms.com as a resource to get to the emotional cause mama and the organ that is associated with that emotion, of any ailment❤ anything that attacks the woman the organs like the breasts or uterus area etc, means we are not balanced in our divine feminine, there's some emotional wounding or trauma in regards to a female figure, typically it's the mother. doctors never make us well.. they don't know what root causes are.... instead they stifle and suppress, we are the only ones that heal ourselves, our bodies do the healing for us😊 as it is constantly trying to Keep Us Alive and healthy 24/7 but we interrupted with low vibrational inner self talk, negative thoughts, behaviors habits and old childhood programming that are stuck in our system, that need to be released

Some bodies just do not see any difference between drinking bog standard juice or coke full of added sugar and organic wild apple or heritage grapes, which have not gone botanical selection for centuries (you can get these in bug wine-countries), some bodies respond to fruit (eaten after meals, with fatty stuff, no combo & hack works basically!) as cellular poison that it is, sugar spikes in the blood are higher from a little apple or one apricot than from a glass of sugary syrupy drink with no fibre. No sugar and no starches AT ALL is the only way for some. Health & peace to all 🙏🏻❤️

I have an under-bite, so I would need to have surgery on my tongue, as well as have my jaw and teeth all re-aligned. I'll stick with the CPAP for now 😆

@seanaames68554 ай бұрын
1: Eat food in the right order: veggies first, protein second and carbs at the end. Eating fibers first slows down the absorption of carbs and therefore decreases the likelihood of a glucose spike. 2: Add a green starter to all your meals: The goal is to include more fiber in your meals which prevents a glucose spike. 3: Stop counting calories: Foods that are high in glucose could be low in calories and food high in calories could be low in carb but more fulfilling and beneficial for our body. For example a donut and cup of yogurt both contain 150 calories but the donut will cause a glucose spike but the yogurt will not because of the protein and fat content. 4: Flatten your breakfast curve: cereal with milk, fruit smoothie, muesli and fruit juice all cause a big glucose spike.A good breakfast that won't cause a glucose spike is usually savory and contains a good amount of fiber, fat, protein and optional starch and fruit. Our body is very sensitive to glucose following breakfast because it has been in a fasting state for a long time. Also, given how well maintained the glucose spike was after breakfast- our body is better able to manage the blood glucose level for the rest of the day. See image for examples. 5: All types of sugar are the same: Basically there is no difference between maple syrup, honey and white or brown sugar. One is not healthier than the other when it comes to causing glucose spikes. The best types of sweeteners that have no side effects on glucose and insulin levels are: Allulose, monk fruit sweetener, stevia (pure stevia extract), erythritol. Artificial sweeteners recommended to avoid are aspartame, maltitol., sucralose, xylitol, acesulfame-k. 6: Pick a dessert over a sweet snack: Taking a sweet snack over an empty stomach causes glucose spikes. If you are craving something sweet, take it after a meal as a dessert. 7: Reach for vinegar before you eat: Taking 1 tablespoon of vinegar in a tall glass of water taken before the meal (with a straw to avoid causing problems with tooth enamel) decreases the glucose spike. The acetic acid in vinegar temporarily deactivates alpha-amylase which is an enzyme that turns food into glucose in our body. Additionally, acetic acid encourages our muscle to take glucose faster than the bloodstream without releasing additional insulin. 8: After you eat, move: Doing a 20 minutes exercise within 70 minutes after a meal is shown to reduce glucose spikes. 9: If you have to snack, go savory: Most popular snacks like potato chips, granola bars etc are carb heavy and cause a glucose spike when taken as a snack. See the attached image for savory snack suggestions. 10: Put some clothes on the carb: When you have to get something on the go, choose meals that combine starches/ sugars with fat, protein and fiber. Basically putting some clothes on the carb and not taking them alone. Example, some apple/ pear with nut butter.

Im vegetarian of Mexican descent. I eat fruit everyday such as mangos, papayas, avacados, pina, etc. I have been vegetarian for 28 years. I have zero chronic diseases, illnesses, mental health challenges, smooth transition into perimenopause. I have beautiful skin, thick shinny curly hair, and a lovely figure. I walk, do breathwork and gentle yoga. No makeup or chemical products for hair, skin and nails. My point, fruit is an important, nourishing and healthful food in my life. Fruit is not just sugar. It has a whole host of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants. I believe the fruit I eat supports my skin, hair and nail health. I support folks if no fruit works best for you. For me, it works.

Perhaps abstaining from sugar in processed food kept you from becoming sensitive to sugar from all sources. Decades of bad eating adds up. I've eliminated sugar and gluten in my diet, and find it best to eat berries and an occasional fig. I was a sugar addict for decades.

I’m a mother of 2 and expecting our third any day. I am and have been struggling with my sugar since gestational diabetes with my second. Pretty sure I had it before her but didn’t know. My son never ate sugar sweets candy etc. I made all his baby food from scratch and our deserts were always fruit and natural foods. He’s 9 now and is very mellow good natured and usually only has moments if he’s over tired or hungry. He also likes veggies and asks for them when he’s hungry. My daughter is obsessed with sweets cereals all the awful stuff. She does love steak but getting her to eat veggies turns into war. She is the complete opposite of her brother behavior wise and ive been noticing the difference much more lately. So I REALLY appreciate all this information. Even the part pertaining to to children. Doesn’t matter if you guys have any of your own. You don’t have to have your own to understand that children are also susceptible to toxic food habits. My kids are my world and their health matters to me. I’m not too proud to consider information coming from childless people. Thank you for this episode. !!

Wow this sounds just like myself and kids. My first is a veggie eater and doesn’t finish any desserts. We eat healthy and have made her baby food as well. I had gestational diabetes with my second and he is my sweet eater and carb lover. He will eat veggies and meat thankfully. I am not sure exactly how I became GD with my second pregnancy. I thought I ate healthy. Other than I can theorize my body wasn’t working properly because I was very low in D, iron, B6. Once I increased my vitamins during pregnancy it got better. I was able to manage my sugars, I felt better no more depression.

Vegetables aren't necessarily healthy, they have some anti-nutrients, natural pesticides, and the nutrients are not necessarily bioavailable because we can't break them down. I've noticed my body does best with mostly meat and eggs and a little vegetables if I feel like it. I've also like pickled things like pickled cucumbers and pickled jalapenos. Every person reacts to food differently so it might be something in those vegetables that your daughter's body doesn't agree with. As for meat and eggs, our ancestors have always been eating those before even farming, it's nutritious and tasty. So yeah, toss out the sugary cereal and bring in more meat and she should be happy enough lol.

I can confirm the positivity of Jessies’s recommendation to reduce sugar intake during menopause. Since I reduced sugar, cut out alcohol, increased fiber to 25 g/day, sleep to 7-8 hours/per day and 30 minutes of exercise per day ( increase heart rate), my hot flashes, brain fog, anxiety and insomnia are gone. Adding Jessie’s tips on food order has helped, too. Am trying the vinegar next. I want to build muscle now, so I am strong in my eighties. Just shared your episode with my teenage sons. Thank you for your continued efforts to spread awareness on healthy eating. You have improved the quality of my life tremendously!!!

Further, I'm deeply impressed by Jessie Inchauspé on how passionate and great a way she can translate academic findings into layman terms. I try to do the same as a chemical engineer in a slightly different field, but it is so damn hard - truly the passion is what gets it over the board and into the hearts and minds!
