Takeaways for reducing procrastination: --Procrastination is fueled by negative emotions and/or fear we feel about the tasks we need to complete. --To procrastinate less, first pause or reflect to identify what tasks you procrastinate most on, and then identify what is fueling the negative emotions and/or fear. --Next, find or create a strategy for fearing or hating your tasks less. One strategy is to make the tasks fun so they're less stressful. This requires some creativity (e.g., editing your writing in the voice of a favorite fiction author so you hate editing less).

We avoid being frustrated, confused, bored, anxious and fearful so we procrastinate. You’re welcome!

As a chef working in a busy kitchen. It's always the best dishes that come about because of someone's mistake. It's the "perfectionist" sous chef who is brilliant as making sure everything runs smoothly but will destroy you verbally when it's not perfect. But his menu ideas are always the classics and he can't or won't try new things.

What I found as the main issue with me and other people is that, if you don't receive your results at some point in time based on your internal goals and expectations.. then the issue becomes a more complex problem and demotivation starts.... You have set that in one of the videos on this channel regarding expectations etc.. actually this mmakes me think not to put too much pressure on myself because I don't receive the results that I put on myself.. always set your expectations in small sprints that give you lessons and achieve small results every day but constantly:) maybe this is a great idea 🎉- thank you for everything… you are my idol 🎉

I don't see procrastination as a successful persons problem, even if it's an issue! It was helpful & thought provoking, nonetheless. As always, great work 😊

In highschool trigonometry class, the aspiring valedictorian's assigned seat was right behind me. As a result, we'd grade each other's homework each day. She spend hours each night getting the answers letter perfect. I, on the other hand, largely rushed through the questions the hour before, and usually only finished about half. She observed this, so got concerned about Cosmic Justice when she couldn't do the exams fast enough to get scores more than the mid 80%'s, while she got to observe first hand each time my scores in the mid to high 90%'s each time. A few years later, I ran into her on the street, and she got to have some fun chanting in a singsong fashion "ha! ha! I'm going to Vassar, and you're not!". Seemed fair to me, I saw the serious work she put in each day. I heard indirectly even later that she went on to become something like an investment banker at a major bank.

When you’ve tried chrome and firefox and find them ‘heavy’ compared to safari and so you keep on using safari on the company’s macbook laptop, only to have your boss watch this guy’s ted talk and think of you… deficient 💀

I am so happy that they have been freed from the terrors of Israeli bombing in Gaza. I am glad they didn’t get killed by the IDF like other hostages escaping. Also, who were the 67 palastinians? Children, women, civilians?

The podcast is great but his damn video titles are a cringefest nightmare. I understand the algorithm but there must be a way that doesn't include clickbait.
