Great job on the M44 series so far Sam! One thing I thought of, and I'm not sure you've touched on this yet (?), but for those out there considering M44, in order to play the larger Battles that are called Overlord Battles, many players will and have bought two copies of the army expansions in order to have enough figures (tanks, arty & the queen of battle, the infantry [the King being arty]) to play the Overlord Battles. Players who buy two of the army sets, you pretty much get use out of all the pieces that you're doubling up on. Extra terrain tiles are handy, the badges and especially the mine field markers are nice too. Pick up the expansions from your favorite online vendor such as Coolstuff, and it helps keep the cost down. Do you need to, or do you have to, by all means no! However, there are those of us out there that do this, and it makes playing the larger Overlord battles, as you say, "aesthetically" nice! One of the awesome characteristics of Memoir 44, is that each individual player can decide for themselves if they like the game enough to delve into the expansions, or not. If you just get the base game and that's it, you have a super game. If you wish to get expansions, you can mix and match a few of them (always read the expansion you want to buy, it will tell you if other expansions are required. Some do, some don't), or if you want to dive in really deep, you can really immerse yourself up to the point that your significant other will tell you you're going to have to choose between continuing to buy M44 expansions; or putting your children through college.

Robert Moffitt I touched on it a wee bit when I was talking about the Overlord Expansion, as it gives you the unit chits to fill in the gaps. I didn't specifically mention how many of the army sets they'd have to buy, though.

Robert Moffitt The one I fell for was not reading the website well enough and buying the Med expansion without buying the desert/snow board. I've got it now and I did feel rather stupid at the time but it does make it a rather easy decision which expansion to buy next.

Why are those expansions so hard to get a hold of but the main game is easy to find?

Because Asmodee doesn't reprint them! You can find easily new flights plan and some others with White boxes small expansions, but the old expansions is difficult to find and you must to search for one of that at good prices

Yeah, easy to keep the base game in print and a couple notable big expansions, while all the other smaller add ons just went out of print. The publisher probabably doesn't want to commit the resources for it as it is becoming an older game.

This might be old news for you by now, but a lot of the old expansions are back in print and available from online retailers. I’ve finally been able to get everything I’ve wanted but didn’t want to pay the ridiculous after market prices.

As an overview that was very thorough. The video title says "Review" which was about 1 minute of the whole video. How about sharing your thoughts on the special units, rules, scenarios, terrain hexes, etc. Keep rolling Grenades!
