Thunderstone Advance: Root of Corruption Review - with Tom Vasel

Tom a question. I'm checking your reviews of the various sets of Thunderstone Advance, and you convinced me, I want to buy the game. But what of the sets should I choose between as beginner? Not Root of Corruption, ok, but then which one? And is it true that all the sets work as basic sets and one could theoretically start with any of them?

Hzello, i'm not Tom but i've just bought Thunderstone...I took Tower of Ruin and Caverns of Bane, and it seems good enough to start with that, even Tower of ruins alone could be OK...i'm not a Thunderstone specialist, but now i've go a lot of choice with only a base game and an expansion...I've stored everything in ToR box, tonight i'll play my first advance game :-) i love the fact that theree's a lot of flexibility to play it, scenarios, randomizer, ect, it's really cool

I'm not sure why, but I love the allies cards. It's odd. Like a bridge between heroes and villagers.
