I mean, missing a whole quest seems like a lot, since the base game comes with 1, and 2 others are available as expansions. That's 1/4 of the available content. I haven't played the game, so maybe I'm not seeing this correctly, but it doesn't seem like nothing.

I have played this kickstarter and enjoyed it. Just don't want to buy a lesser version at Coolstuff or other OLG.

We've only played it two-player so far, and I can definitely see speed of play improving dramatically as the game and rules are learned. A four player game with experienced non-AP players should be a lot of fun, especially as competition for those few level III heroes heats up. Highly recommended, and I hope non-KS backers don't have to go without this box's contents for too much longer.

Deck building my favorite. Mystic Vale, Valley of the Kings. Learned Dominion when first started gaming and not played since. Heard a lot of great reviews about TQ but people love Dominion too. Want to get one of them and having hard time deciding. Certainly like artwork and color of TQ.

I got the KS edition. I love this game. But I love Thunderstone Advance as well (so I'm biased). I'm surprised I've seen some ppl say they think there are too many rules or it's too complicated. I don't think they've actually played TQ because I feel the exact opposite. A lot of the rules have been streamlined. A lot of things are obvious because they wrote it down on the gameboard and playerboards so you don't even have to check the rulebook. Also, if you played T:A, then you'll remember there were a ton of keywords on cards, and you'd have to look in the rulebook as to what those keywords meant. Those keywords are ALL GONE! Now, it's simply "before battle", "during battle", "after battle". So much simpler and still requires strategy. Be warned: sleeving is necessary as the cardstock isn't the best (at least if you want to keep the cards in good condition). It's decent though, and if it's sleeved, then it's great!

FYI, the box only have space left of you NOT sleeving the cards. I have sleeved all the cards and there's not enough space for expansions. I have the epic add-on in the box too... Get rid of that and maybe the box will fit 1 expansion.

I love Thunderstone Advance, but have barely scratched the surface ... this behemoth would take me a lifetime lol. Games in general seem to be getting HUGE ie Gloomhaven. If you play these games to the end you have no time to play any other game and games are coming out faster than ever before. Not a complaint I just wish I had time like when I was a young man lol

This game has a ton of replayability for sure, but I don't think it's that daunting, especially compared to Gloomhaven. Although there is a 'campaign' in TQ, it's really just a suggested setup of cards with extremely-minimal story. To "play it to the end" wouldn't take more than 30 hours at most, I'd estimate.To play every variation and every card in the game would take a while, sure, but you could probably play with most cards (but not all combos) in about 10-ish games. If one game is 1-2 hours, I'd say that's about 10-20 hours of gameplay. To do one campaign in Gloomhaven takes minimal 75 hours. Now that is a behemoth. The great thing about TQ is that you could put in 75 hours as well with all the different combinations of cards and have a different gameplay experience, but since you get the whole experience in one game, whereas Gloomhaven the game expands throughout the looong campaign, I don't think they're very comparable. Full disclosure: I own TQ and love it. Highly recommend it!

This finally looks like a version of Thunderstone i would be interested in. Thunderstone Advance was ... ok ... but it always felt like a slower, more fiddly even less interactive version of Dominion with Dwarves and Wizards. I still don't know why the players aren't cooperating but hey ... the rest of the game looks fun.

Especially as you show off all these quests and cards, a handful of which are going to be exclusive and a great deal of which are going to be sold separately as expansions.

Epic I'm sure will be fun, currently going through the campaign book, I'm sleeving the cards when I need to open them for the next chapter, but yes a LOT of cards to sleeve. The Kickstarter cards will probably only be used probably for Epic or if I do a random setup sometime. So will be a while before I get to those cards I'm assuming. The minis are neat but yes not necessary but I do like them over the meeple that the prototype had last year.
