I hate to sound stupid, but is short shifting when you shift early, before the usual shift points? Or is it when you skip a gear?

​@@DrSpoculusshifting earlier than usual. Supra and Corvette also do better with worth shifting. It's also the common tactic for fuel saving when doing races that consume a lot of fuel

Pit on lap 10. This removes the time of leaving pit lane at slow speeds. Pit in and cross the finish line that way.
