It had its growing pains, but it's a lot more fun over all. I can't believe it's been 20 years already! We were able to go when they opened for guest before it opened to the masses.

What fun to be one of 'the first' to see a new park!

This took me back....thank you. I remember looking through peep hole at the construction of the new park with eagerness and excitement. However, I was disappointed because it did t have a whole to offer for the price. I had hoped that it would be an extension of Disneyland, rather than an individual park. It has greatly improved over the years. Now, 2021, a huge anniversary....20 years of DCA. Happy Anniversary, kid. Keep on glowing and growing.

You guys should really cover some of those defunct and awesome dining experiences that used to be at DCA. Does anybody remember Maliburritos? Pizza Oom Mow Now? Burger Invasion? How about Taste Pilot's Grill? Hollywood And Dine? The Bountiful Valley Farmer Market? How about those two restaurants in the California Zephyr, Burrrbank Ice Cream and the Bakersfield Bakery? People who go to DCA now don't realize how many food options that park had on opening day. Great video guys, let's see a follow up.

Unpopular opinion, but I miss the old theme and decorations, mostly due to nostalgia. Went to CA Adventure from 2002-2019. I have memories of seeing stray cats staying under the Zephyr Locomotive by Soarin' Over California and climbing on the large letters in front of the park. Miss the rides, too, especially Maliboomer. Good times!

The cats are still there, especially at night. They are cared for by the night crew. The cats are even up to date on their shots and doctor visits.

Another great video by you guys! I can't believe DCA will be 20 years old already... though Disneyland and DCA make me feel young, that realization makes me feel old haha.

I personally thought it was "To" California. But that being said, it's nice to see the California when Walt Disney came to town along with the "Pixar" movies. It's about as good as it gets. Can't wait till the Avengers to open. Actually I can't wait till the whole Park opens!!!!

What an amazing video, perfect for the park's 20th anniversary this month! Perfectly serves as a time capsule of what Disney California Adventure once was. Keep up the phenomenal work Disneyland Beat! 😃

Question 🙋♀️ for you The Disneyland Beat, when DCA reopens back in 2012 Paradise Pier looks great 👍, but it still wasn’t doing well since there was still not enough Disney characters on the boardwalk section so part of it was rethemed and reimagined into Pixar Pier in 2018, that’s true right?

Do you prefer Soarin Over California than Soarin Around The World
@TheDisneylandBeat3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think so, SOCalifornia has a more natural, filmed, imax feel that I prefer. Around the world ends up getting too CGI feeling at points. Though one of my favorite experiences was getting to ride both versions in the same day. It happened to me once!
