Waiting for that LG WOLED with an RGB Tandem pixel layout for the obvious benefits over the competition, aswell as previous OLED technology we've seen thus far throughout the years Simply require a full DP 2.1 port supporting UHBR 20 bandwidth for that sweet, sweet 240Hz refresh rate @ 4K with Chroma 4.4.4 10Bit color. And a glossy coating, of course. Gonna look SOOO fucking smooth n crisp, baby! I can't wait :D It'll last a good decade or so, which ought to be enough time for MicroLED to not only improve even further somehow, but also become the new consumer standard in the industry; just like OLED has been for the past 4 years now It'll truly be end-game display tech until we somehow figure out how to make cost-effective, sci-fi like ultra high-res 3D hologram displays or virtual displays through advanced implanted brain chips or something lmao in retrospect: thank fuck we EVER managed to escape the several decades long asphyxiating death grip of shitty IPS/VA LCD display technology, so that we could finally have (vastly) better products and make significant, rapid advancements in R&D for the future of display technology

I tried some of the newer gens panels before returning them as I wasn't impressed enough to warrant their 1200-1400 euro pricetag. Meanwhile the grab at 0:15 shows gen 1 QD-OLED now being EOL and so far that has been my most enjoyed gen, I still have the AW3423DWF, which is typically 800 euros and now on sale for 750 euro. I'm seriously considering just getting another AW3423DWF now while it's on sale, so I'll have one as backup and considering no new ones are being made it's basically now or never. Considering on heavy games (so not mobas or light games like valorant) on 4k you're already having a hard time staying above 100fps even with a 4090 I don't really see the point of anything 144hz or higher refresh rate, just kinda a marketing gimmick imho. I do admit the newer generation panels are a tiny bit crispier, and I realize I could just play on 1440p on a 4k panel, but then why am I buying a 4k panel and it's associated pricetag. Nah, the Dell Alienware AW3423DWF still seems to be the sweetspot imho, it's like the 1080ti, GOAT of OLED (ultrawide) monitors imho, the MSI MAG 341CQP is same gen, but some newer firmware, ports, kvm etc for only 50 more so it's a good alternative. If I'm not getting one of those 2 though it's going to be the super ultrawide Samsung Odyssey G93SC 49" OLED, it seems the best for the price out of the super ultrawides. These newer monitors are going to need 5090s or even 6090s (super ultrawide 4k is crazy) so the GPU upgrade will be expensive and these panels are going to be even more expensive than the top-tiers we have now at 1200-1400, combined with the aggresive 800R curve on many of them? Seems a like a good generation to skip.

I would like to see more esports grade tandem OLED, especially need 1080p 24 inch size at native 540-600Hz refresh rate and VRR range of 1-600Hz. Focusing on sustained 24/7 full screen brightness of 600 nits at both SDR and HDR. Also for all WOLED it would be nice to have Dolby Vision for cinematic experience. The last thing is why not cover ones seen in gaming laptops? Gaming laptops need LTPO tandem OLED as well at 1080p/WUXGA and 1600p, and need up to 480Hz and focus on lifespan and sustained full screen brightness as above. All need to be HDR10+ certified as well.

Have to say I have totally changed my tune on the monitor I bought originally coming from my brighter ROG Swift PG27UQ monitor to this Oled 4k PG32UCDM HDR originally I thought it was too dark. but since I have the monitor for 6 weeks now and set it up properly it has been great and plenty bright enough and actually it makes sense now proper 400 dark values makes sense, in fact I use either the hdr10 or dolby vision true dark and its both excellent but its the whites that show up more too ironically or not. personally i would never buy a monitor thats not a proper shape like 3840x2160 iwould do 5k but it wouldnt be widescreen

Bro, it's a shame that Gigabyte, Xiaomi or TCL don't come out with a 42-inch screen. It's difficult to get something that size and that's QLED. In the end, they keep insisting on woled, which doesn't shine at all and the colors are inferior. Let's hope that this tandem improves things and that, as a tech tuber, the brands will give you more information. Regards, my friend.

2 dream monitors I want to see the 27 inch 4k WOLED from LG end of next year. (please be glossy and atleast 1000 Nits) 24 inch 1440p MiniLED with 2000+ Zones I love 24 inch monitors specifically for games like League of Legends/Starcraft where you can hyper focus on the game itself without much eye movement, everything stays in the peripheral vision. 27 inch 4k WOLED would be crispy, beautiful, and would be a joy for content consumption and creation.

What would you say are odds of Dell / Alienware releasing some 32" flat OLED this year? I'm eyeing this variant but it's only available from other brands, which are way too expensive in my country (Dell are always significantly cheaper here for some reason).
@VMYeahVN
@VMYeahVN 2 ай бұрын
Probably low. They already had the option to make the Alienware AW3225QF (a 32" QD OLED) be flat, but they specifically chose it to be curved. The competing monitors from LG, Asus, Samsung, MSI, etc, that use the same panel almost all chose the flat variant.
