The fact that they took the time to chainsaw that channel in the ice, then tried to warm him by hand, then tried to warm him by a fire, THEN instead of just leaving him and hoping for the best, they brought him home for the night to make sure he was okay…melts my heart. He was in such bad shape that he had to trust these humans, and he did enough to eat from their hands. Beautiful animal and beautiful people for saving him.

Can't agree more. These lads deserve the title heroes! They risked their own lives to save a fellow animal in need! Using a chainsaw to cut open a frozen lake? Thats dangerous af! They worked hard. They worked smart and all with the intention to help! Also note they didn't do it for their reputation. The video only starts half way through like they just realised: "oh what we are doing is pretty cool, maybe we can share it with other?" These dudes are absolute role models. Why can't we all be like them? Id be so proud to be a human. Respect!

Even going so far as to transport him to their home to ensure his safety. Not everyone goes out gleefully killing animals. And if these people were engaged in hunting, from the looks of their living situation, they would be eating every bit of that meat for survival.
