My dog also doesn't like a collar harness and he just sits still or lays down. So we have to use a body harness instead for walks

that breaks my heart to see a dog literally shake that they are so scared even after months around loving people. I adopted a german shepherd who was beat and lit on fire by some pos and I have to rock him to sleep and hold him when he wakes up cuz he has nightmares. poor puppy! I love dogs!

Not everyone would take home a dog from a shelter that has the issues Wally had been going through as a stray and how scared he was in a noisy shelter. Dogs are truly the purest form of unconditional love that we can find on this side of heaven. I adopted a shelter puppy in the beginning of April and she saved my life. I'm not minimizing anyone's struggles and battles as we all go through the churn. I take no joy in saying this, but I've endured more torturous, brutal health problems that led me to needing six abdominal surgeries, having get of my digestive system removed, having any ostomy bag with my intestines outside my body, sepsis, multiple organ failure, and the list goes on. My wife also left me three days before Thanksgiving last year and the divorce will be finalized shortly. I've had more pain than few can even imagine, and the love of my dog is literally the best part of my life and really only part of my life that brings me happiness. Even now, she's laying here next to me and loving me. She means the whole world to me and there isn't a moment that goes by that I'm not thankful for being her dog daddy. Even in typing this, she got up from my side and came to lay across my chest with her head on my shoulder. I took her to Target earlier to get some steps in and for her to love on people as she simply adores people. I've never met a more loving dog my entire life and quite literally everyone that meets her falls in love with her immediately. When I met her at the foster's house for the first time, it truly was love at first sight. My love for her grows every day and she makes me a better man. We aren't good enough to have animals like dogs that love us so purely, but God loves us so much He gave us companions that will love you through the worst times and best times.

I was the 4th adopter for my little girl in 4 years. Now I've had her 4 years. I'll never give her up. But she was scared when poop was stuck on her bum. Thought she was going to get in trouble.
