Absolutely, not only backyard breeders, "ANY BREEDERS!" I wish they'd outlaw selling animals PERIOD. But then again I'd like to outlaw animals in the circus or used for any, ANY TYPE OF SPORTING EVENT! And if they're going to be in zoos, no cages period! Nothing less than the a big enough area depending on the animal, that mimics the appearance of their actual territory.

God Bless his Foster Mom for having the heart and compassion to go without hesitation to get Artie. She gave him unconditional love and kindness. This story sounds like a 1990's COUNTRY song! Life was so hard, being hungry and alone. Til a trucker in Missouri found Artie. This dog persevered and grew a mullet. Now the ladies love him and life is a party. (Just need the music.)

Now driving a Class A RV my respect for truck drivers grew. Knowing that this guy waited until Artie was rescued, probably lost money on his load, my admiration continues to grow. It always melts me when an animal domesticated or wild knows instinctively who they can trust. Kudos to the driver, animal rescue group and foster family.

People who do not turn away from an animal in need because it isn’t theirs or their concern are true heroes in my opinion. It just takes that one person caring enough to take that first step to get these animals out of a bad situation, whatever it might be, and on to a better life. There are angels among us. It doesn’t have to be a huge, noticeable act to see them. Sometimes it’s just a person like the truck driver who, even though he couldn’t take him, made the effort to help him. God bless these people.

He was in such a bad shape, could’ve made the choice to be sad, resent humans for how he had been treated, but he decided he was just going to show you all the amazing pretty he as on the inside.
