The guys have been to this property before, property 2, it was Andy and Joe. I remember this was a bad blockage, with a huge sewer sausage. Jem let Justin do the unblock, if he pulls the hose too far back, he will quickly learn not to do it again.

Sorry, but that's horrible advice. That's basically the equivalent of letting someone handle machinery alone with proper supervision. If you want the job done proper, then you need to make sure it's done the right way.

You make it sound like he'd be operating dangerous machinery, instead of a jetter and a plunger! He should be allowed to do it on his own, that way he and Jem can see how well he does and where he might need more training on. How you expect anyone to learn and get better when you don't want them doing it on their own is beyond me.
