3/4 of the way through this video and already 101% certain that this is the best torso anatomy video I've watched so far. I'd probably pay for information for more in-depth videos like this if you sold it (Though this is already great as is). Seriously, consider selling a course!

Thanks!! I appreciate you letting me know this was helpful. I plan to make some foundational drink courses in the future. The only one I have right now is more focused on illustration. Not on how to draw. I'll be the first to let everyone know if I do have a course like that here in the future though 🙂 thanks again!

I’m a beginner and this video was awesome. You included so much needed explanation of the process, structure and rationale for working through the process. Thank you. I’ve been searching for this level of instruction across many channels and your tutorials checks all the boxes for a beginner. I’m a new subscriber and am eager to tune in to your channel and learn.

Thanks for explaining your processes in detail my dude. I like the fact that you aren't afraid to show your mistakes and sloppy work as well.

Thanks! Ha ha, I’ll take that as a compliment :-) I think it’s important to share the raw process of these things. It’s just as important to know how to fix mistakes as it is not make them…

@@TheDrawingCodex Personally it's incredibly helpful to see these steps in detail is super helpful as someone getting back into drawing after 8+ years, especially when a lot of the other videos I watch are guys like Peter Han, the late Kim Jung Gi, and Karl Kopinski who are able to just go right into confidently slapping ink on the page and have it turn out incredible. It's this kind of information that is so ingrained in their brains that allows them to do their work and it's super helpful to have videos like this that show your process of working through the thinking and application of foundational skills, even if it's not exactly the style that I work in

Thanks as always! You are a great teacher and such an inspiration comes from your style of talking and showing everything in that detaled way.

That’s a pretty good video for beginners. I think you’re wrong about the old masters such as da Vinci. Cartoonist can still learn a lot from his anatomical and perspective drawings, which were highly detailed, precise, and quickly done on a very small scale with all the benefits of modern textbooks, videos, and art supplies.

This is a great video so far thank you! I'm still working my way through it bit by bit, it's jam packed with useful info and examples. I was following step by step and it helped me understand how the torso is shaped and contorts a lot better

My only constructive criticism for this video would be also giving us a better idea of proportion. Not going into too much detail maybe once or twice do a detailed explanation and then a “draw the ribcage facing this way and then the pelvis this way but remember the pelvis in the same length was the ribcage” (idk if thats right its just an example) but honestly this was the most helpful video I’ve found on youtube. Ive been trying to find someone who actually understands anatomy and knows how to explain it. Im at 35:31 as of writing this comment

What was the video where you spoke of these red-blue pencils for the first time? I've seen them once before on your channel, before the leg drawing video. It wasn't anything special, just a brief intro, but I can't find the video. Anyway these bicolor pencils are amazing for this purpose, they work really well when explaining the bone-muscle interactions
