My paternal grandparents were young adults during prohibition. I have a a marvelous photo of them and (iirc) my grandfather's sister. The sister was wearing the identical bob Catherine Zeta-Jones wore. My grandmother had the quintessential 30's hat over her hair but I know from other photos she had the same bob hairstyle and was wrapped up in fur from the waist up. My grandfather looked like one of the Corleones (lol) - I think I got that impression from the long coat and type of hat he was wearing but I've always thought he resembled Don Ameche - complete with the thin mustache. Actually, also a younger look of this: George Hamilton wearing a thin mustache and dancing the Argentine Tango - (start at 2:03)
