I’m glad she’s talking about this, because I was shocked to find out she was abused in her marriage. She’s almost the very last person I’d expect that to happen to, she’s always come across as such as type A personality and an advocate for girl power. Abusers can be so manipulative, they prey on anyone they think has a kindness to them, and although Mel is type A, she has a soft side and can obviously form relationships as she did with the other spice girls, and narcissists prey on those types of people, healthy people. I’m glad she’s doing well now and is safe, I’ll always love the spice girls ❤

I do believe you need to have very strong boundaries to avoid narcissistic advances. Not letting them control your dates, outfits or anything. I cancel plans purely because I want to have a day with my God & if I sense a slight change in attitude because of that buddy I’m choosing God, peace out. I’ll do it again with a smile on my face ✝️🙏

We moved, my ex husband, our three daughters and me, to another country. I was no longer working( and I am a medical doctor), taking care of our family. And we moved every year to another place as he couldn’t find a job place ( he is a surgeon) he would be happy with. He was in constant conflict with colleagues. I had no one to turn to when it became terrible for both my kids and me. I was also ashamed to let anyone know…. And who would have believed me… he was different in front of other people…… I fled with my girls one night when I was afraid he would have tried to hurt or kill us….. I never reported him……. I just wanted to get away…….. he now insists, 2 years after he didn’t care what is happening with us, on seeing his youngest daughter…… I am scared……

I'm tired of hearing about how it only happens to women. You wanna know how alone I feel right now. Gaslit, villainised, manipulated, guilt tripped, taunted, mocked, ignored, disbelieved, judged, held in contempt, treat with disdain, used, isolated, alienated, targeted. From people I know and from complete strangers male and female. And I'm a bloke. I can't just walk into a TV studio and start freely expressing myself about the way I feel and about what's happening.
@flawdagal
@flawdagal 2 ай бұрын
She literally said it happens to everyone but predominantly woman.
@muzeezhodillo8613
@muzeezhodillo8613 2 ай бұрын
@@flawdagal yeah exactly. Predominantly women. In other words "mostly". Just because it's "mostly" women that talk about it. But I wasn't talking about what "she" said, I'm talking about the general subject "narrative". But you've just proved my point. You just gaslit me because nowhere did I say "she said". If a man complains about this stuff they get doubted, disbelieved and holes picked in what they're saying. Where as a woman will get believed and applauded without doubt or ridicule just on their word.

Women need to take responsibility for the men they choose to be with! They allow these type of men into their lives much of the time because it suits them at that time! Then it turns pear-shaped, and they scream how abused they've been! Stop going with control freaks and get some wisdom and take responsibility for your part in the choice of relationship!!!
