Had an automotive shop for 25 years, I always owned Chevy's. After realizing that Toyota owners only visited me for state inspection and service, hardly ever for repair, in 2008, I went Toyota. That Toyota still flawless at 126,000, now I purchased a 2019 Tundra TRD PRO. I had a family member who drives an F350 tell me that Tundra is junk. I simply said to him, one day you will grow up and realize for yourself, and he just gave me a blank look. The Ford guys are the worse, brainwashed! Awesome video, keep it up.

Tundra- spends a lot of time at the gas station. Big 3 trucks- spends more time at the dealership.

@@10tenman10 Haha that's only if you literally buy the highest model and literally all the accessories (and I still doubt it would total over 75k). A solid SR5 Crewmax with off-road package you're looking at around 40k give or take. With longevity and reliability of this truck. I'd say that's a deal.

The people that buy these is to cater to those who want a modern truck which reliability and not not fuel mileage or the electronics of a Gmc or ram or f150. We need a category for the people who do want new and old school is the way to go. More simple. Just drive without think about your rims or running boards less to tear up. Smartphones can make up for apple car play. Get a car charger wireless at bestbuy for 20 dollars and do without those options if it tears your young not forced to take apart your dash for something simple. The same thing with the Nissan frontiers they last. Japanese just gets it right with the simple design and usable trucks. Mine has almost 90000 miles it drives like it did at 17 miles. And I replaced a light bulb, belt and new tires. Same brakes that will give you a whiplash no noise. And it drive city daily. It just works. If ford can make a truck as good I'd buy a ford.

If you are looking for luxury, try the 1794 version with wood and saddle interior it is striking. How was braking? Was there a lot of nose dive like there is in 4-Runner? I avoid the 4-Runner because of how bad the brakes and feel are, nose dive and really soft break pedal.

My family has had a very great experience with Toyota. Our first one was a RAV4. Now we have a Camry. I've heard great things about their trucks too like the Tacoma and this one. Tacoma, though, I'm noticing gets better fuel mileage than this Tundra even though you can tow more with the Tundra.

“Incredibly capable truck”... really? It’s long and has open diffs. No crawl control, no locker. It’s literally just a truck. Bulletproof, but not capable more than other trucks that size.

The problem with the TRD Pro is that it is based off the SR5. The leather isn’t that good, there’s not heated seats, no Dual Zone automatic climate, no JBL audio. The problem with tundras is that they don’t have keyless entry, remote start, they have an outdated stereo without CarPlay, ad well as a bunch of other small things. I can deal with one or two missing things, but not a pallet of them. I want a tundra really bad but it needs more features

Way too much, I bought new 2015 limited DC, added TRD pro exhaust and TRD pro F/R shocks, same truck with better interior for less than $44K. Got 72K miles and no problems other than back up sensor going out. I hated that crap anyway, so no loss for me.

Funny. I have watched about 10 of these reviews about the Tundra. Just about everyone liked the "big" knobs for the climate control, but never say anything about the tiny audio controls right above. Funny. He did not tell you anything but how pretty the truck is and how fun it was to drive. He said nothing about how the truck could drive through all of that snow and almost never spun it's tires.

Would like to see Toyota introduce an 8spd (or more) transmission to put in the Tundra to help with the fuel mileage... Keep everything else the same if need be...Personally, I don't think $63.9K CAD is that bad for what you get in the Tundra TRD Pro relative to what other trucks go for. With that said, no dual climate control? That's a little pathetic at that price point, can't lie.

No push button start, No Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Same ugly boring ergonomics, very dated. I Love Toyota quality so don't beat me up here, It's just that I am ready for Toyota to really upgrade their interiors to the 21st century. I have heated seats on my 2014 Tundra SR5 5.7L. Honestly I only used them twice since it was in the negative zone during the time but I'm not a fan of it, it's just pointless to me cause my butt is always warm (were I currently work at) and I've heard/read bad things about it burning and damaging the seat. So that's one major reason why I don't ever use it.
