In 1967 my mother and her mother went to Ireland. Somewhere she saw the Dubliners. My mother purchased an album "Live from Albert Hall". I wore it out listening to it and trying to understand the words and meanings. If I heard someone was going to England I would always ask them to bring me home an album. Now in 2023 I am 73 and still listening to the Dubliners. My mother and grandmother are all long gone but I get to think of them when I listen to them. And Now I am Easy.

This is a very worthy tribute to Luke Kelly. As a child I remember seeing Luke walking along Grafton St. in Dublin with a paperback book stuffed into his pocket! He was a bohemian genius with a voice which reflected his inner passion for all that was true and real in life.

It's been several decades, Luke Kelly died before I was born, but I still feel we lost a pure unbridled talent. The passion in his voice, the soul, it takes you to places you never thought of, makes you feel nostalgia for a place and time you never knew. He is perfection. I think only Liam Clancy comes close to the feeling Luke Kelly invokes.

I was born in the middle of Europe - where we are supposed to be Slavs, but I am a Celt! I identify with the Celts from a young age in nature, in the landscape, and especially in music! I don't understand native Slavic folk songs, but I love all Breton, Irish and Welsh songs. I was just born too many miles east...I'm a native of the Atlantic.
