Alice met the Mad Hatter at a tea party, and Neo is shown in the opening with a cup of tea. She is pretty well set up to be the Mad Hatter of the Ever After.

It maters some. Jaune was the last to fall, so they didn't know he was here. Weiss fell after Ruby, so she only asked Little if she had seen Blake or Yang. Weiss just happened to run into Blake before Ruby found her.

So, Summer used an axe, I guess we know who the huntsman to Rubys little red riding hood. Also we saw summer in volume 6 and 7 for the levianthan and salems your mom Jaune was the last to fall off, he fell just as the door dissapeared, also all the neo clones made sound and talked this episode so that is scary Also things I wish to point out for this episode it made me realize that Ruby has never had her own symbol, all other main characters (maybe all characters even) have their own personal symbols. But rubys symbol can be seen on summers grave and "it carries a mothers promise" so my guess is that Ruby will gain her own personal symbol this volume. Also maybe a call back to ozpins speech to Ruby about leadership "Being a team leader isn't just a title you carry into battle, but a badge you wear constantly. If you are not always performing at your absolute best, then what reason do you give others to follow you? You've been burdened with a daunting responsibility, Ruby. I advise you take some time to think about how you will uphold it." And this episode the smiths "you seem to be carrying a large burden.... and set your burden down" also she gave away her "badge" The blacksmith having 3 weapons that Ruby be interested in, pennys sword, alyxs dagger, and summers axe, one of them one of them "insert pennys eulogy", another the girl who got out of the ever after, and the super huntress. All people she might wish she could be right now? Anyways loved the ep and loved your reactions to it!

regarding symbols (referred to as emblems officially) several are passed down by family/reused Weiss uses the Schnee family crest presumably the same as her grandfather Jaune gets his from the shield used by his great-great-grandfather during the last war Oscar's is just a different shade of green from Ozpin Ren appears to use a pink version of his father;s and Neo uses the symbol of the academy where she learnt to be a criminal

I've been really liking the animation for the curious cat. from the way he just kinda...walks off the table as if its still their, to the way he arches up and hisses at the jabber walker like an actual cat, they've done a great job! though i guess they had practice with blake. Also, as a reminder, Weiss said the rusted night was apparently handsome...well well, how the tables turn.

"It wasn't a gun" Actually if you look closely, there's a trigger behind the axe head. It looks like an Axe sniper rifle, the blade also looks like it retracts. Over the years, there have been many fan theories on what Summers weapon would have been, some were scythes, but that had pretty much already been ruled out by known lore, others were a two handed axe, and others a Halberd. The one common aspect was they were mostly all sniper rifles. It would be fair to assume that it was Summers weapon as they often take inspiration from the fandom for things - and then moreless confirmed by seeing Summers face.

This isn't a theory, this is a game theory: I've always thought something was off about Summers role in the current story and the comments of "Nobody actually dies" in this season... I still think, and believe even more now, that summer will show up in the last season of the show to save Ruby and help win

- Summer's weapon looks more like a woodcutting axe. So I suppose she's like the Woodsman? - The Jabberwalker is based on "Jabberwocky", a story that Alice sees when she enters the mirror at the start of "Through the Looking-Glass". - Yes, the Rusted Knight is Jaune. The voice cast in this confirms this. He even has the same tipless sword (after Cinder broke it).

I think y'all was fundamentally misunderstanding Neo's semblance. She has the ability to create hologram like illusions, that's it. She cannot teleport that's just her using a bait-and-switch to create a fake her in the illusion and then when they attack it and it shatters the real her has already snuck away. However since coming to the ever after Neo's illusions are now solid. So any illusion she could create she can now make actually physically tangible, which essentially makes her a God in this world. She created an army of Jaberwalkers

I don't think so. Remember, Ever After is inspired by Alice in Wonderland, where the main character returned to the normal world at the exact same time she left. While obviously there is some time-shenanigans going on with what happened to Jaune, I feel like that much time passing is just not a good idea story-wise, both due to the fact that it would run controversial to this Volume's theme of healing from trauma, and the fact that there's no way Salem wouldn't have already won at this point.

Time flow in another void could be drastically different. It could be decades or even a century later in Remnant. Jaune could've also been there longer than he knows without accurately aging.

@@XTheCrystalBeastGuyX You and @Hermann Makuta keep forgetting something; in any scenario where RWBY+J is gone for over a month on Remnant, there is no way Salem hasn't already won or at least destroyed Vacuo and claimed the Sword of Destruction. The best case scenario in that instance is if the Relic of Knowledge hasn't yet filled its questions back up and Salem hasn't managed to get Oscar/Ozpin to crack on the location of the Crown of Choice. And there's no way things would be set up that hopelessly for Team RWBY, especially considering how it would run counter to this Volume's stated theme of healing from Trauma and picking themselves back up; not to mention the fact that the Ever After is clearly inspired by Wonderland. The realm that Alice returned from at the _exact time she left her own?_

either neos semblace evolved due to anger most likely and her semblace has always had a glass motif so maybe this upgraded semblace allows her to make reflection of a living things that are physical the second explanation is that she has taken the role of the mad hatter and her semblace was adjusted to fit that role but i doubt the 2nd one

The Tea Party Alice went to had three main characters in it: the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and the Dormouse. The Dormouse was perpetually tired, making Little the RWBY equivalent. Still working out the March Hare, but he was as mad as the Hatter, and he was Wonderland's second main rabbit character. Without spoiling anything, but being an episode ahead of these reacts, I do have my suspicions there

So here's my crazy theory for this episode: That mysterious blacksmith lady is actually SUMMER ROSE, specifically having wound up in the Ever After years ago and undergone 'ascension' to take on that new form. Hence why she has what seems to be Summer's weapon and her cryptic lines about 'nothing and no-one ever being truly lost'. I mean considering all the hints we've gotten towards Summer over the last few volumes, I have to imagine we're going to finally be meeting her this volume.

As fun as that could be, there are some issues we have word of Monty from way back that summer is definitely Dead. The blacksmith has a lot more than just Summer's weapon that she arguably shouldn't. Alyx's dagger, Penny's Sword. No, I deeply doubt she's a former human, though I have a feeling that taking up someones weapon from her would do a lot more than just arm you. My theory is that wielding a weapon from her also brings part of its previous owner with you, possibly even altering ones 'purpose' or role as an everafterian. Or by bringing a shade of the person. So we might get more Summer, but more likely just an echo, rather than her real self
