I've not seen any issues with reactors and Jaiden, so you should be good. She has two other Pokemon Nuzlocke videos, several videos about other games, and even personal stories about her life that she's animated. If you do her Platinum Nuzlocke video, there's a part that will require explanation AFTER you watch it.

And if you watch her final Nuzlocke video, you'll need to watch the two Nuzlockes of her partner, Alpharad, to get an understanding of how hilariously cocky and over-reliant on blind luck he happens to be. As awesome Jaiden's animation sequences are, Alpharad ends up coming up with the better jokes at his own expense. Look him up when you get the chance.

The great thing about Jaiden’s videos is that you don’t NEED to know about Pokémon to enjoy everything because she mostly explains all the important techy stuff like damage ranges and Sheer Cold. also someone probably said it by now but Ari is named after Jaiden’s real pet bird, Ari. So something Jaiden didn’t explain but figured out later is how Zipzapzop survived a 4X effective Earthquake at 10:41 Because Zipzapzop murdered so many Marill previously, they had gained a high amount of HP EV’s. EV’s are points that can be distributed amongst a Pokémon six base stats. Health, Attack, Defence, Special Attack, Special Defence, and Speed. A Pokémon can have up to 510 EV’s placed on their stats up to a maximum of 252. So if you have say 100 HP, playing 252 EV’s on your health will make it 352 HP. EV’s can be gained by defeating specific Pokémon. For example, defeating a Charmander will give your Pokémon 1 Speed EV. Defeating an Ivysaur will grant you 1 Special Attack EV and 1 Special Defence EV. When Marill is defeated, it grants the Pokémon that took it out 2 HP EV’s. This combined with a low roll from Altaria let Zipzapzop survive. EV training is actually a strategy used by Pro Nuzlocke runners, so Jaiden accidentally did the most important thing possible to ensure she would wipe out halfway through the run.
@elijahpadilla50832 жыл бұрын
Outside of the EV calculations being a bit more complicated than that (the EVs are a less-than-one percentage increase based on the original stats, although I'm not 100% sure on the exact calcs), that's a really good explanation!
@demix82282 жыл бұрын
@@elijahpadilla5083 every 4 evs gives you 1 point in the stat at level 100 if I remember right
@elijahpadilla50832 жыл бұрын
@@demix8228 It's a tiny bit more complicated than that; base stats that are very high (like Slaking's 160 base Attack) or very low (like Onix's 45 base Attack) swing the amount that EVs provide; it's why very specific investments for VGC are tricky.
@MoostachedSaiyanPrince2 жыл бұрын
My favorite thing about Zip Zap Zop surviving that Earthquake is that it's ENTIRELY thanks to it's genocide of the Hoen region's Marill population. In Pokemon games, there's a (somewhat) hidden stat called Effort Value, which is basically a small incremental stat boost to your Pokémon depending on what it battles. How it works is when you kill a particular Pokemon, you get a miniscule but permanent stacking stat boost to one of your Pokémon's six stats depending on what that Pokemon was. And Marill kills boost your HP (Health Points). Basically, every Marill that Zip Zap Zop killed gave it a tiny HP boost, and that's nthe only reason it wasn't killed by that Earthquake. Also, please watch the other two Nuzlocke videos Jaiden has done. Expect the one for Heart Gold and Soul Silver, because it's a two person Nuzlocke that she did while collaborating with one of my favorite KZbinrs.

9:05 A small detail that a lot of reactors miss, is that the team shown here is the same one TFS used in their Emerald Nuzlocke. Which is infamous, due to them wiping at Winona, which by itself isn't bad, but they tried to hide the fact that they wiped in the final release. But the audience knew something was up, since when they started the battle with her, one of their Pokémon was mysteriously a level higher, after people pointed that out, TFS had to make a video telling the truth that they wanted to tell the story they wanted told. Most accepted that reason, but people (like myself) still find it a little scummy that they tried to hide it in the first place, but thankfully, they haven't done anything like that since. I'm not painting the folks at TFS as bad people, it just doesn't hurt to be honest sometimes.

I REALLY enjoyed playing ORAS a few years ago. I have a system of catching at LEAST every Pokémon in the gen before national every game, and create a full team for each starter. And gen 3 has some REALLY fun Pokémon to set up teams for. And the fights and presentation of the gen 3 games is VERY fun. Also remakes. They DID remove Battle Frontier in remakes that people are BEGGING to come back one day, but Pokémon keeps deciding they don’t need a mode for the best players when the rpg is INCREDIBLY complicated and full of math. I got that MOSTLY down about 3-4 years ago and now actually have a great deal of variety under my belt. But I had to stop playing current Pokémon a bit for budget reasons. And I think the new gen 4 games will be my last for a good while. (Which did NOT disappoint me due to post game being a DELIGHT even without the battle frontier) Jaiden’s story telling playing these 3 nuzlockes are OUTSTANDING. And her regular stories are great too. She’s not afraid to share with the class despite being such an introvert. She’s one of KZbin’s most popular animators for a reason.

I recommend trying a Nuzlocke of your own. The rules I play by are: - You may only catch the first Pokémon on each route (the standard catching rule), with exceptions. If you've already caught that Pokémon, or something in its evolutionary line, you may bypass it and catch something else (This is known as Species Clause). - Obviously, the Pokémon that faint are dead and may not be used again. Personally I throw these in a box labeled "Graveyard" but some people prefer to release them. My special rule here is that items held by dead Pokémon are "buried" with them and may not be retrieved. - Event Pokémon are separate from Route Pokémon. For example, HG/SS has The Lake of Rage, which contains one guaranteed-encounter Shiny Gyarados. This Gyarados may be caught in addition to your first real encounter in the area. This also includes Egg Pokémon given to you by NPCs (but you may not breed your own Pokémon in Daycares, etc. to receive more Pokémon for the run). - Shiny Clause: If you find a shiny Pokémon, you may catch and use it. - Legendary Ban: You may not catch or use a Legendary Pokémon unless forced to, for example the railroaded capture of Eternatus in Sw/Sh. Personally, I recommend Nuzlocking Pokémon Black/White, Platinum (not Diamond or Pearl), or Sun/Moon. Games created prior to Generation 4 (Diamond/Pearl) such as Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, Ruby or Emerald have simplified battle systems that I personally dislike, but it doesn't make them bad games. I recommend Platinum over D/P because of the extended Pokémon availability; for example, Diamond and Pearl only have *one* wild Fire-type in the form of Ponyta, while Platinum has several other options (Houndour, Eevee -> Flareon, and Magmar come to mind).

nuzlockes are actually pretty damn hard. You can go in there casually but you'll probably lose a lot of your Pokemon. You really kind of have to study learn move typing of different Pokemon if you don't already know them and try to plan out what you're going to do. Because you could get to a point where you were in the Pokemon League fighting the champion and you just have nothing to contend with her final Pokemon and she wipes your team. Which if you go by the rules of a nuzlocke, that pretty much means you have to start back at the beginning

Nuzlockes can be a lot of fun, but they can also be very hard if you don’t have a lot of knowledge on the rules and general game knowledge. Because each Pokémon game have different mechanics and the more later ones were more mainstream focused for a wider audience. And remember, Nuzlockes are SELF-IMPOSED rules. It depends on the rules the player sets for themselves. I've seen some players doing more casual Nuzlocks keep going until they catch a Pokemon on a route. Like, if the first Pokemon they encountered was Zigzagoon and they accidentally knocked it out. Then they would basically keep going around that route until they caught a Zigzagoon on that route. Players doing more hardcore Nuzlocks make it so the first Pokemon they encounter on a route is the ONLY Pokemon they can catch on that route and if they accidently knock it out, then they just can't catch a Pokemon on that route anymore and any other Pokemon they encounter on that route is solely for battling/EPX grinding. Other players also use the whole Dupes Clause rule where if say their first Pokemon they encounter on a route was a Zigzagoon that they caught and then the first Pokemon they encountered on a different route was another Zigzagoon, then they didn't have to catch it since they already had one and the next Pokemon they encountered on that route that wasn't a Zigzagoon would become their catch of that route instead.

Okay, you asked about Double team’s effects, so I’ll give you a crash course. In Pokémon, the speed stat is used primarily to calculate who goes first. Whether moves hit or not depend on two different stats. Evasion and Accuracy. Accuracy is how likely a move is to hit, while Evasion dictates how often a Pokémon is able to dodge an attack. Double Team raises the evasion stat. If the evasion stat is boosted high enough, the Pokémon is nearly bullet proof unless the enemy has a way to work around it. A lot of competitive players think the tactic of spamming double team is so over powered, that it has been banned from tournaments.

15:00 to be honest with you I take as long as I need to, to not use the master ball I've spent upwards of 2 hours before trying to catch the first legendary, because normally the bigger legendary comes out later. Like with Groudon I'd catch him with ultra balls or something like that and I'd save the master ball for Rayquaza. Hell sometimes I'd even give myself a challenge and try to catch him with ultra balls. It just depends
@bloodwolfgaming92692 жыл бұрын
The only game I truly saved my Master Ball specifically for was Deoxsys in ORAS. Because how it goes is you make your way to the top of Sky Pillar and battle Rayquaza (can save right before you battle) and once you catch Rayquaza, you immediately go into a cutscene where you fly into space on Rayquaza to destroy an incoming meteor. And once you destroy it, Deoxsys pops out and instantly battles you. The most recent save you can make is before you battle Rayquaza so if you accidently knock out or run from Deoxsys, then you're screwed on getting it unless you refight the Elite 4 all over again and find it waiting on top of Sky Pillar.

You should also react to Alpharad's pokemon nuzlockes as well. Especially if you go down the line of Jaiden's.

Yes! Jaiden is such a wonderful soul and her animations are great. If youre looking for a more serious and introspective video from her I suggest her Why I Dont Have A Face Reveal Video, its an important watch imo and its nice to talk about and discuss.

Her third Nuzlocke video is a crossover with another Poketuber called Alpharad, you need to watch his Nuzlocke videos too^^ Probably better if you watch them before her third Nuzlocke video^^

“I have played this.” Drat. I can’t bombard you with lore if you played it. I guess I can go into it’s place in the timeline. According to Toshinobu Matsumiya, Ruby Sapphire and Emerald, as well as the remakes Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, take place at the same time as the Gen 1 games (Red Green Blue Yellow) the GBA remakes (FireRed Leafgreen) and *before* the Switch remakes of Yellow (Let’s Go Pikachu! and Let’s Go! Eevee!). You want to know how all of these happen at the same time? Well... the newer games pretty much confirmed a Pokémon multiverse since it’s a literal plot point but I don’t know whether or not it applies to every Pokémon version as I haven’t seen anybody who works on the games confirm that yet so it’s still a theory at this time.

Always fun to see reactions to these videos, and also as to doing it yourself, if only there were someone *cough* who is in the midst of starting a series *cough* introducing and guiding creators *cough* through not just nuzlockes but soul link nuzlockes. It's me. I'm the *cough*

She has two or three more Nuzlockes, you should react to those as well.

If you think that was tough you should watch a randomizer sun and moon nuzlocke that is a very tough to nuzlocke cause sun and moon don't have technically gym leaders they have totem pokemon and a trainer of the totem in the area and this is where it gets super tricky cause when you face a totem pokemon they get this aura that buffs a stat so it can get a buff in it's defense or offense so that makes it insane in a randomizer especially for the later totems cause then all their stats get buffed special attack defense etc so you can face ho oh with with double stat buffs

Make sure you use a randomiser for your pokemon catches. Makes it fun with rng.
