14:01 Just a quick reminder that Typhon exists in the game as it does _to specifically counter Zeus…_ which lines up rather well with the Greek myths surrounding their namesakes (Namely Zeus eventually defeated Typhon in single combat, but not before Typhon A: Sired most of the monsters of Greek mythology with his beloved Echidna, and B: Crippled Zeus and left him within an inch of his life after their first bout)… Now we just need an Echidna Xyz monster that focuses on mass summoning.

5 level 12s, or 1 rank 12 to summon, with the effect to detach up to 5 materials, then reborn up to 5 monsters from either graveyard would be hype. This way you can make a 6 material zeus with zodiacs, wipe the field, then plop her on top and steal your opponents whole board. Obviously super overpowered but definitely a cool idea I’m sure they could find a way to balance enough to be bad.

The saving grace for Raidraptors rising rebellion falcon is that due to it being a huge 4k beatstick that is fairly hard to get rid of, it's now the new shiny target for Awaken the Dragon instead of Ultimate Falcon for all the matches where you wouldn't be summoning Megaclops. If you do play trap decks and put Awaken the Dragon in to mess with people, it's great! But it's sadly still pretty meme.

As a Mecha fan, it's pleasing to see 3 Mechs be in the top 4. Yeah maybe Typhon is a fiend, but it's design, and it's canonical rivalry and Mythology referenced rivalry with Zeus, especially with the released Animation Chronicle makes it a mech to to me. Besides, it's head and face are blatantly Astranagant designed. Imagine if there was a Divine Arsenal Mech King Magnaas Zeus that could be made by overlaying a Zeus that has Magnas as a material. It would likely be flat out banned.

I use Zeus in Harpie, because it's incredibly easy to get there, too. Cards like Hysteric Party, Harpie Channeler, and even the original Elegant Egotist can swarm the field, and then you summon Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon, which can attack directly, and then suddenly you have a 4 material Zeus staring your opponent in the face.

I thought I recognized that big tank thing in the thumbnail. I stop playing ages ago but the last time I busted out cards was to play a friend when he found out I still had mine. He wrecked me every time with those trains n/or these kaiju things that summon onto my side of the field. They were 2 separate decks but then I think he merged them into 1 strategy n would beat me on the first turn or 3rd turn the latest. But MtG is more my thing tho I've been playing a decent amount of Hearthstone lately n I'm trying to convince my bro to play the now discontinued Pokémon format where it had all the card in history, those decks r crazy strong n I love it. Trying to take all the lessons I've learned from all these card games n more to design my own card game. Coming along g9od so far but it is still early in development. Wish me luck.

Should be noted that Great Magnus can be played in most decks that usually Level/Rank 4 spam. I played it in Gadgets. This is because you can use Dreadnought Dreadnoid’s eff to overlay into it if it destroys a monster by battle. If you use three Level 4 monsters for it, you get the ‘unaffected’ eff on Magnus. If you use five, you get the Droll and Lock eff. But it also means you can quick eff shuffle without it losing its protection

One thing you forgot to mention about Great Magnus is it can be cheated out by Number 22 Dreadnought Dreadnoid. If you run the right machine type deck, you can easily cheat out Magnus with 2+ materials at least.

The many issue of this set up is like No27 Dreadnought Dreadnoid requires you to beat over something in the battle phase, this means that the earliest you can do this, is after your opponent has had their turn. It can be a very fringe r4 way of removal since yes 2+ material great magnus is technically better than Castel because it's non targeted shuffle. If a deck can do that consistently, they are probably better off removing that problem card with something like Zeus or Underworld Goddess.

@@adamxue6096 It’s definitely fringe, but it can and has been a Bacon Saver (pun intended) in some duels and as a follow up for extra reinforcements in others. Of course, I wouldn’t dare try it in a tournament setting, but it can be useful in a casual duel. But considering the potential uses of Magnus, it’s definitely good to know other ways to summon it.

using Zeus is pretty great in Earth Machines, cuz with the right hands you can easily put 2 lvl 12s on the field and hard summon Zeus as a board breaker. then if you can combo further you might be able to go into Gustav > Liebe for game

10:45 to add to number 99: utopia dragonar, it can do a similar lockout combo to number 93: utopia kaiser. during your turn, you can use the effect of astraltopia (which can be searched through the three material effect of primathmech alembertian which utopia has a surprisingly easy time accessing) to search out zexal construction which in turn can search out any rank-up spell, including the phantom knights rank-up magic launch. before it was banned, dragonar would then use its first summon on number 89: diablosis the mind hacker, attaching the hyper rank-up magic to it so you can use its effect to rip one card from the opponent's extra deck, leaving it with zero material for the phantom knights rank-up. since its banning, instead number 11: big eye has been used, forgoing the effect of the hyper rank-up to attach itself, so that it has zero material

I play Rising Rebellion falcon in my master duel and Tcg deck, which of course the main deck are blackwings, it's easy to bring him out first turn and just annihilate everything you're opponent has, if going first it's funny setting it all up, then you can blow up their board with the rank up quick play spell, plus if you have Brave Strix as Material Rising Rebellion falcons attack goes upto 5300, making cards like blue eyes magia vulnerable from battle.

I feel like it needs to be said Galaxy Queen's Light is a normal spell card that requires you to control a level 7 or higher monster. You target it, and upon resolving the spell successfully, all other monsters you control becomes the same level. While it's still a significant investment, if you can summon a high level monster and just swarm, you can use the spell for all kinds of shenanigans. I used to play it in a Yubel deck many years ago abusing cards like Metal Reflect Slime and Level Eater, but it's effectively dead without the utility of Level Eater

Much as I love RR it doesn’t stop from making me downcast about the casual Rank 13 adopt. It made its mark as Don Thousand’s “cheat” card for having an overestablished Star count and the highest stat modifier. Now a Synchro or Fusion printed 13 feels suddenly more attainable.

On a 2nd run you still need to transfer the save from the first game over since on a NG+ run ONLY party members levels and gold on EASY mode transfer over NOTHING else does. While a 2nd run DOES have a HARD mode on hard mode NOTHING transfers at all.

You do not bring out number 68 with kaiser since you cannot rank up a rank 8 into another rank 8. you would instead bring out big eye which is a rank 7 dark then use that to go into kali yuga

What you said about R.R. being irrelevant is not true they were meta in the OCG and are actually pretty decent right now. The only reason they weren't meta in the TCG was how long it took for the support to actually arrive to the TCG.

i made a Utopia Dragonair that can make a full board of negates and the same time draw 5 at turn 1. Utopia really needs now a legit 1 card combo. it has 1 but not that bad the time thief engine.
