Huge fan of this game and have also pledged the 2nd edition. This is a narrative machine and produces many cheering, moaning and laughing-out-loud moments. Love your idea with the faction summary sheet - I need to do that when I get the new edition.

This is the type of game I find most enjoyable…Games with emergent stories are really the most engrossing. I want a loose objective and then for my gameplay to flesh out how the story gets told!

While the gameboard is dull looking, those awesome in-depth character cards and gear cards make this game worth checking out--not enough gear or gear variation is a limiting downer in games. As for the art, I own Dark Darker Darkest, and I enjoy independent art in games which are unique. I have a small allowance for board games, but Fallen Land is now on my list--I'm afraid of loving it more than Fallout Boardgame which is a favorite, LOL! Just played this. Wow. What a pleasant surprise from such a little box! My party got wiped when they were messing with an unexploded ICBM! So much fun! This game is unforgiving. The victory points and prestige never got above +4 for 6 turns. Still had lots of fun though!

Also eagerly awaiting the new edition. The amount of written content in this game is amazing - it's like a giant novel in board game form. From the moment you assemble your party of survivors, my mind is already wondering what's going to happen...

When you said that first character's name was "Chad", I just burst out laughing. Not sure why, maybe cause I couldn't remember a game of any kind I've played where a character was named Chad. That does it next character I make in a TTRPG will be named Chad.

I’m a massive fan of this truly great game . Own first edition but pledged for everything in second edition . The stories on the cards are insane, often hilarious and always fun. Just a terrific experience

After debating between this, _Posthuman Saga,_ and _Waste Knights 2E,_ I decided to put in a last-minute late pledge for Fallen Land's upcoming 2nd edition + Descendants Expansion. Your videos on WK and FL were a help in navigating the choice. Thanks! (I might have gone for Zona but copies are scarce... I'm on a post-apocalyptic kick). Are you think you might pick up the Descendants expansion and/or the 2E upgrade kit?

For me, shelf space is more important, because I have a very small house and a very small room to keep my games. I want all of my games to be in the smallest box possible.

I mean come on, a game with this many cards, loot and gear it’s halfway there to being a good game for me. I bought this game and had to get it from the US as well as future expansions. So I must like it as it cost me a fortune living in the UK. They are a proper Indi company. I reached out to them for promo cards which they kindly sent FOC. In return I asked them to send extra so I could distribute out UK & EU fans of the game.

Unfortunately I don't really do let's plays, especially for games like this with a lot of rules. I make too many mistakes, and then people just complain about the mistakes. :) I just don't have any fun playing games on camera like that. Not my forte. There are people out there who are way better at it than I am!

@@TheDungeonDive Fair enough! I get that. Second editions map will be slightly bigger (including Canada and Mexico) but at least this new version comes with a card and token tray to keep everything nice and clean.

Fallen Land 2e is just starting to deliver, certainly here in the UK. Looks like the new 2e box is huge so at 09:24 when you talk about your hopes that 2nd Edition isn't too much bigger and that, "the map isn't bigger" 😬 are quite poignant. I know the neoprene mat is way larger than the board map so I think a lot of folk might struggle to get the neoprene version to fit on a table; I know I might! However, first impressions of 2e are coming in and looking good 👍

...wow... *years* ago I decided to pass on 1e since the second edition seemed right around the corner... Well that was then and today finally I bit the bullet and just picked up 1e with expansion for a reasonable used game price. Nice little 4 year detour ahah...

I have the 2 main expansions for this. There was meant to be a 3rd main expansion I think named 'Caravans & Exiles' in 2020 but it never got released I think. Anyone know anything about it ?

yea this looks great, went back and forth on backing. looks like a simpler and more old school version of fallout!and i love the art too! so much game art falls into a type trap, getting boring

I have a very, very, very small room with not a lot of space for games. So size is one of my main concerns. It's something I talk about on the channel frequently. Maybe that's not an issue for you, if so, you are blessed!
