This is the first time I've seen this interview and he is indeed at ease, but I will say he became much more comfortable in his own skin as he progressed through the 2000's. Other interviewers with whom he was obviously comfortable were Jay Leno and Tavis Smiley.

He had been taking opiates since the 80s, and because he was so private with his life not a lot of people knew. But the way he died is just exactly that, an accidental overdose. Get over it, and stop trying to turn his tragic passing into some kind of conspiracy like everyone does these days.

Okay so to clear up a lot of reports of anyone "overdosing" If someone doesn't get a blood toxicity screening to ensure even their prescription medicine toxicity levels aren't too high in their blood, it can do organ damage and cause organs (specifically the heart) to shut down. They will label it as a drug overdose every time. So please, from someone who has suffered from this very thing, if you're on any medication for longer than six months, get a blood toxicity screening done for your own health. We need you alive and healthy. I believe Prince was on medication for being sick and he may have overdosed on his medication because of poor medical care and not intentional overdose on illegal substances.

Seemed like a really down to earth person. He was very private. Totally different personality from when he's performing. I remember him as a kid listening to a song from his Dirty Mind album 1980.
