I watched the presentations by the British lawyers from Essex Court at the ICJ. The annexations are illegal. The resettlements are illegal. If something is illegal but done nonetheless, it can be subject of a judgment to that effect. The problem here is that the ICJ seems to have no means of enforcing its judgments, so then what? It would be interesting one day if Electronic Intifada got some legal people on camera to talk about this kind of thing, and discuss measures to reverse the annexations and remove the illegal settlers.

There is no enforcement mechanism, and furthermore, the US, which sponsors the Israeli colonial invasion state, has written an exception for itself into international law so the imperial forces will never respect any judgment - though one will never be made because the international courts are beholden to geopolitical interests above moral and ethical order.
