This man reminds me of my dad. He is seventy-five years old, and grew up in a very small segregated mountain town in North Carolina. Dating a black man is the one thing that I was told to never do. So when he found out I had fallen in love with a black man it destroyed our previously close relationship. Told me that I had to make a choice between him and my then boyfriend, now husband. It wasn't until after we were married and the birth of our daughter, that he finally asked to meet him. Now, he cares and respects him. It's nice to see that others are overcoming their beliefs, because they realize their kids are more important.

Oh my heart just broke into a million pieces for him. A father’s love is immense and you can tell he loved her to the moon and would have done anything for her. What a sweet dear soul.
