This happened to an 11 year old girl a few years ago. Her stepdad shaved her head because of her grades and she ended up jumping off and overpass. He went to jail, this is really traumatizing to a child and to record it shows how sick they are .

This is why many young kids grow up being mentally unstable, depressed, engaging in criminal behavior, and so on, because their parents embarrass them on social media instead of talking to them about their emotional health. Blame the parents who failed to raise their kids. This is so upsetting. It shows that parents are jealous of their own children.

Right omg, it's a traumatizing event by itself. Even without it being recorded. But now it's a viral video? Everyone at school saw and knows exactly what happened. I wouldn't have been able to make eye contact with anyone at school. The mom apparently did this for grades? As if that girl will go back to school as if she'd be willing to. If your child is continuously acting up, and you know that’s not how you raised them or it’s just noon their character or some new behaviour. 1. Don’t cut their hair off. 2. Spend time with them, ask them how they feel, find out what problems they’re dealing with and if you can help etc etc. Basically let them know you’re their safe place, where they can talk honestly and openly and get support

Just my views and beliefs. I have 2 kids and I use methods that work. Well, one is still a baby so I'm talking about my oldest who's 8 years old. This is NOT discipline, it’s trauma fuel. She’s setting up her daughter to have a very emotionally unstable relationship with her in the future, if she continues down this path. I would have ran away. I would've written her a note telling her about what I thought about her and her terrible action, and I'd have ran away. Gone. I'd stay at a friend's house. I'd speak to their parents. I'd stay with my grandma if I was blessed enough to have her around. It's worse bc she really thought she was doing something with this terrible action. You went from not doing any physical punishment to CUTTING OFF HER HAIR? Taking away a piece of her identity as a young girl? That's egocentric on the mothers end. That's damaging. Literally just came from another content creator who had a live about how black women raise their children had a call in. Even though my grandma never cut my hair she attributed my hair to my braids and dismissed the panic attack and ptsd i had when i was with my whole 37 year old dusty of a stepfather. The woman shouldn't complain when her daughter distances herself from her and gets therapy. My daughter has been acting too but will never cut her hair off, she just gets punished... things she wants like false nails, using her mobile phone/ no tv time, no extra pocket money and going out with friends. I always talk to my girls to find out what going on and why they acting. My old daughter getting bullied in school and my younger one get stressed out at school, one teacher is knocking down her self esteem. Over SAT texts.

I feel bad for the girl, and from my own experience at 11-13 I acted out like I'm not gonna lie about it. Most of those years I was dealing with the loss of my mother but I never got help so that I know how to deal with my emotions. So I come off certain ways that I honestly don't mean. And I just went through a situation with my parents and when I tell you the amount of gaslighting and manipulation is astronomical. This is petty too because I couldn't count the time quick and I got beat down and my younger sister had relations and barely got in trouble. Im 17 and she was 14 when it happened. And it really shows the kind of parents they are, and its sad....

I told my daughter she can be pretty, but being a pretty girl that people can not respect because of her behavior, pretty with little to no education won't get her anywhere in life. I told my nieces that. As parents we need to think about our actions before enforcing them. She literally said she cut her hair off to show her that being pretty is a privilege. Then decides that she will then go and put a wig on her head bc she is embarrassed and knows she can’t send her out in to the world like that. When I was in high school my mother stopped buying me makeup and extensions as a punishment. With her being a hairstylist it was a punishment but also a learning experience. That whole few months she showed me how to maintain my hair, love my hair, and do my hair. We sat down and talked about how those things didn’t make me beautiful because I already was. Did I immediately start to behave so I could get my stuff back yes! Did I understand and respect that lesson yes! Baby that’s what a mother does. She would never put her child in a position to feel inferior or think that it is ok for anyone to abuse them.
