We too had plans to visit the Christmas markets in Bavaria. After much research and discussion on reasonable (i.e. not too expensive) last-minute changes, we decided to keep our original flights to and from Munich, and headed to Strasbourg, Colmar, and Nancy in France via train. We had a great time, and the markets in Strasbourg and Colmar were about as German as you can get, outside of Germany itself. If you have a chance to get to the Alsace region, we'd recommend it highly. Keep up the great work!

Take the arrival 2 day test right there at Heathrow - cheaper test and you are right there wanting to walk around after a long flight anyway. Just went to London two weeks ago and tested just outside bag claim in Terminal 2 when I landed. No line at 6 am when I landed (even tho my appointment was at 8:30 am). Had my results before I got on the Heathrow Express to London. Return test was an at home from a pharmacy in Bath to upload for the flight back. Have fun!!

You guys should take a trip down to Florida in Clementine. We have fantastic weather here during the winter and some of the best beaches, plus some nice campgrounds too. If you make it down to Tampa/St Pete would love to buy you guys a beer! 🍻

I agree, Florida would be a good choice. Fort DeSoto, Sebastian Inlet, and Anastasia State park. Maybe even a trip to the Boneyard Beach in Jacksonville.

Hi guys. Can’t remember where the poll is meant to be but I have some feedback. With everything being so up in the air with covid still, new strain etc. it would be great imo from a viewer perspective if you just focussed on planning and doing some awesome trips with clementine. We all know how draining dealing with covid and changed plans are, and just hearing about it is painful. It was honestly nice and refreshing just watching you guys build the van. It would be awesome to just see you enjoy her and not having to think or talk about the impact of covid so much. Given it will obviously be less restrictive if you’re just travelling in the states. Just my thoughts. Love your videos and can’t wait to see you back on the road again internationally without the added stress (as we all can’t wait to be). Cheers 😊

Just plan accordingly. You have to get a PCR test when you land in the UK now and you have to quarantine until your results come in. I read online where some people were waiting up to 4 days for the results to come back because of when they landed coinciding with the weekends. Don't take my word for it, I'd look into it yourself just to make sure everything's accurate.

London is a wonderful place to visit around Christmas. There isn't much open on Christmas day. There is no public transport on Christmas Day. Public transport, including buses, trams, London Underground and London Overground trains, do run on Boxing Day, but on a reduced service. On Christmas Eve, public transport starts to wind down from early evening and there are no night buses. We found an Indian food restaurant in our neighborhood for dinner.

Hate to see that plans have become complicated. While visiting friends in Texas, you could go to Llano for the drive through Christmas lights and then travel to Fredericksburg for their kinda large Christmas square. We did this as a family last year and finished with a stay at a winery. Cheers.

You guys are a hoot, and the camper is fabulous! I was heart-broken when I saw the damage, but it really looks gorgeous. You have done such a great job with her! You are going to love Texas! We are having some beautiful weather this year. If you plan to pass through the hill country south of Abilene, I have a spot where you can boondock overnight, if you want to save some money and avoid parking lots. No hookups, but it's pretty quiet and very beautiful. :)

If you’re heading to the UK you should check out Birmingham which is a short train ride from London. Excellent Christmas market - recently named the most Christmassy city in the UK by Forbes. I know you guys have been before but definitely an improvement on recent years here in Birmingham and worth a visit. Lots of improvements in the city too as we are hosting the commonwealth games in 2022.

So sorry you guys can't go to the German market this year. Have you thought about doing the Quebec one as an alternative this year? I just went this weekend and it was wonderful. At the land borders they require proof of vaccination and a negative covid test within 72 hours. I drove from Massachusetts and it was 7 hours. If you were thinking of doing New England in December that could be a fun add on. Happy travels!

I had to cancel a trip back to uk to visit family+ Christmas market For long weekend but the cost of tests was unbelievable 100 pounds per test 😱 2 test per person we could not find any where cheaper to get them done ) And that on top of your flights / Hotel was not worth it.. Ya, so I think we may end up being in the same boat as you. We booked flights without realizing we needed to quarantine and get the day 2 test. We weren't planning on visiting for all that long either, so I don't think it's going to make sense to go through all the hurdles, sadly. Sorry your plans had to change. When you come to the UK, you should come to Cardiff and see our garage. You’ll soon realise your garage was spotless in comparison to ours! We are working on A TVR that we bought during lockdown that broke down instantly, a Landrover that needs a fair amount of welding, an Mx5 that needs A LOT of welding, a Lexus that needs a service and my Yamaha 125 that needs selling. At least we fixed the Porsche Boxster that we intended to sell in the summer! However the garage is full to bursting as we are also trying to redo the electrics and insulate, resin a shelf for the kitchen, make an office table for me, build a wall in the garden…. And to get to the office you have to go through the garage … it drives me to insanity because I can’t make it tidy! 😂 We also have a Christmas Market….! It’s just a little on the small side in Cardiff…😜

Greetings from Germany! It's quite sad that you cant come and see all the different markets all over the country but the C-situation here is not good and even us germans dont know what other things will happen or will be closed this winter. We too were looking forward to the markets and the stop came very sudden. but at least you will have a lot of fun with friends and family without the stress of going through international airports and looking up the different rules in each german Bundesland. What You can't Boon Dock like All the Other Vans, School Buses & RV's?? All You Really Need is a Bigger Fresh Water Tank & Grey Tank, Also You All Need to Put Clasps on Your Chairs so they Dont Move. So You Can Still travel in the US during COVID Issues. Just need to follow the Boon Dock Groups.
