hands down clementine is one of the best RV builds on the internet. Its a whole lot better than many one bed condos
@MrLucas10122 жыл бұрын
Instead of a dowel, use a 1/2 inch diameter piece of pvc pipe. Pro tip….Use end caps on the pipe, will totally look like a designer blackout curtain. Not that you guys need pro tips …. After all… you built Clementine!!😎

If the blackout curtains/blinds had been fitted on the outside of the net curtains , not underneath, it is easier to roll them up. A future mod. Blackout roller blinds can be purchased in various sizes and can be cut down to fit if a smaller size is required.

Hey, Eric and Alison, hydrogen peroxide and a box of Q-tips can take out stains. Dip a Q-tip in peroxide and gently dab. As the Q-tip absorbs the stain, pitch it and repeat the process until the stain is gone. Also, so nice to see Matt again!

I friggin' LOVE those picture hanging strips! The artwork is super cute, too. It's all looking so great - you guys should be really proud. We got a great tip from This Old House - if you have a wood frame and the screw actually strips out (not the issue here but if you need it eventually), fill the hole with a boatload of toothpicks and wood glue, let it set, saw off whatever is hanging out, then sand it down and it's like fresh wood. We used it on some door hinges and it works great. Have so much fun with Matt! So cool your friends can meet up with you.

Classy work on the RV decoration... 👍🏾 For future reference Home depot can make straight cuts on wood or other materials for you, so if your previously custom cut wood breaks and you are on the road and wantsa new one in that custom size, you can ask at Home Depot to make the cut for you, normally the machine seats at the lumber area at the back of the store. Straight cuts only as far as I know, but all kinds of sizes , trim pieces, planks, boards...

Quickly put bar soap on blood with water, then rub the material together with itself. Then put white vinegar on it. Then wash it with laundry soap. This works on most stains, like sharpie, wine, grape-juice, etc... Gotta do it quickly though. BTW I love Hot Springs, Arkansas!

@@Theendlessadventure ...plus it looks really cool as the blood foams when the peroxide is applied. Light colored fabrics are no problem. Darker fabrics you should apply the peroxide onto a cloth or paper towel rather than directly onto the fabric. Perixide works on other surfaces as well. I have also used Oxy-Clean with good results, but peroxide is the old-school solution and is more fun to use 😂

Get a small dowel. Drill a hole in each end of the bigger dowels, put some glue on the smaller dowel, insert small dowel into bigger dowels and tape together till glue is dry. Bingo, big dowel.

Being a quilter, I learned that your own spit will take out your own blood on fabric, but it won't work on someone else's blood. Try it next time it totally works. Other than that I love what you both are doing. Enjoy it.

I have a HUGE helpful hint for you --- treat those curtains (both sides) between the cab and "house" with some kind of "Scotchguard" spray. You will be able to wipe off any dirt or spills easily. I treated my chair cushions in my kitchen nook 15 years ago when I moved into my house and just recently resprayed them --- they didn't really need them tho, a damp rag or a little scrub with the scrubby side of a kitchen sponge will still clean pretty much everything off. My husband eats, especially when he's really hungry, like a drunk badger crossed with a two-year-old child ... this tip has saved me a ton of work. It DOES stink for a while, so you may want to rig up a temporary sub while you air them out ...
@jennifercouch34792 жыл бұрын
Your new blackout curtains are adorable! You said because you had to buy 2 shorter dowels instead of 1 longer one and it doesn't work the way you want. The roll up idea is a cute idea. What if you bought 2 straps, 1 to hold up each dowel side?

The driver and passenger seats look super comfortable. I think you should pain the RV on the outside. I use to have a 1978 Class C that was very similar to yours. At the time, I would have painted it if I had the funds back in the 80’s and 90’s.
