Wonderful, Wonderful! What a beautiful opportunity to swim with the Dolphins. Seeing you pick up chickens brought tears and so many memories. 60 years ago, when I was just a little girl of eight I had my own special chicken, the same color and everything. I used to pick it up and hold it like a pet. So soft and feathery. Thanks for the memories!

I legit got goosebumps and cried when you were swimming with the dolphins ! 😭😍 Also guys thank you thank you thank you for talking about captivity and for choosing an ethical way to see those babies 🙏
@thomasdosborneii5 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for that, that's the best dolphin operation I have ever seen (there may be others, but I don't know of them)--the dolphins not in captivity and yet the likely chance of an opportunity to actually swim with them without interfering with the ecological rules! It's terrible how short the life expectance is for those in captivity, I never knew that sad statistic.

Glad you got to swim! We did a Bay of Islands trip back in May and the people on our boat who were booked to swim didn't get to as while we saw a lot of dolphins, they all had babies with them. They were wonderful to watch, though. And what lovely chickens, I hope I can have some in my backyard someday

Lovely. I love NZ. I went there to swim with Dolfins, but in the end we weren't allowed in the water with them because they had young. It was very disappointing, but it was great that they have these rules, and we still had an amazing dolfin watching trip.

Omg I love kerikeri. My family live not too far away in Taipa. Good on you for trying a mussel fritter, not many people like it. If you do get a chance, make sure you try kerikeri oranges that are sold on the side of the road anywhere around up north. They're delicious. Also, try a hangi - traditional native food that's cooked in the ground. The beat I've ever had is in Rotorua at a place that's called Mitai - a traditional village that does cultural performances and is set right next to the famous Luge and Rainbow springs. I'll find a couple of links and post them below. Also, welcome to New Zealand! I hope you enjoy your time in our beautiful country!! X

@@gracem3303 probably does say that, just doesn't look like focaccia. Much more like ciabatta. It's possible the restaurant is confused.

How often do you go to the gym Eric? Why not try sculpting your body more just like Allison and that will give you more strength and confidence in your travels. Also, Queenstown in South Island is a must visit. Sam Neill of Jurassic Park fame has a vineyard a short distance away in Central Otago named 'Two Paddocks' and they have one of the best Pinot Noir in the world. Hope you can pay a visit.

If/when you come to Wellington, you have to try a flat white here. Flat white is a coffee style from New Zealand/Australia, and Wellington is famed for its coffee. You might have already tried a flat white at Starbucks, which has started selling them around the world (a nice circle of events, because it was tales of Starbucks from abroad that inspired the Wellington coffee boom in the 80's), but you totes have to try one at one of the homegrown Wellington cafes like Coffee Supreme.

@mynameIwantistaken5 жыл бұрын
That is when their tour started. They said they had to check in early and were like an hour away. That makes me think they got up at 6 am which 1) is early and 2) when you travel jet lag sucks so even 8 am might be horrible depending on the circumstances.
