As a goth I’m pretty upset that there’s only really one type of goth represented I was excited to see trad goth, romantic goth, nu goth as well as the more 90s goth they went for but I understand that it’s just a kit and there’s not many items

yeah this is kinda why i wish they had focused on another element of goth that didn’t feel so close to what we have. obviously it’s hard to encompass all type of goth repped in a kit but i think having something different could’ve helped that kit feel more individual and take on a fashion we hadn’t seen too much of

i think a lot of people were expecting a more trad/romantic goth vibe (myself included!) which is why its so disappointing ;( these items read like a very hot topic/f21-esque alt vibe too

That’s 90s goth? To me it looks like preppy kids playing goth dress-up… but then I didn’t realize how many variations of goth there were until the pre-release discussion.

Completely agree that there needed to be a floor length trench coat. But additionally what I find fundamentally wild, is that there were no Tripp style pants. To me that's so quintessial to the goth style and idk seems like they didn't have anyone who had much experience with the style personally on the creative team. It's giving a Pintrest idea of goth frankly lol

It was said to be just an architectural kit (like the literal building) and not so much an all-inclusive build kit, let alone any kid of ‘period’ play kit. It is just a kit, those are light fair.

To me, it feels more punk than goth tbh. I'm not interested in another half-baked kit. Edited to add: Whoever created these items didn't do any research on the subject and it shows.

I think the kits are fine, nothing terrible. The Goth kit is ok and the castle kit can have uses outside of making castles. Some proper old churches/cathedrals that can be used for wedding venues for example. That being said, will likely pass on it myself. Might get the Goth kit a bit later for the extra darks items to mix and match with some other stuff.

I shared over on Twitter about the eye glitch. I thought it was CC but it’s not. It also seems to only be effecting female sims. My male sims are fine. It’s only with that particular hoodie.

i weirdly had it on my stream the night before these releases so i don’t think it’s just the hoody. i think that’s exasperating the problem but i think it might be linked to stuff on sims heads

These could easily be stuff packs (with more itens and swatches and stuff packs go on sale) i dont get why they made them kits

like I wish and I still miss that that you got a lot of clothes hairs and accessories just like the Sims three stuff packs even Expansion packs had the same levels of stuff, and then they were Add a reasonable price

Some of the meshes are bad. They have the belt of the skirt flat and the holes in the belt look bad. Same with the gloves

Edit: There could've been so much more in these, especially the goth kit.. but it is kits. They all are kinda disappointing in my opinion. I hate kits XD I really like these! I'm going to always be super supportive of more alternative fashion and creative builds. I do highly agree that there should've been more mix n match ability within the goth fashion as that's what goth fashion is all about, diy. Why these are kits though and not stuff packs is always confusing to me XD

I figure those fences wouldn't need a gate in a castle, not to mention that one is meant to be used on the roof. At most you would pair the other up with an excisting metal gate ig

Yeah, my immediate reaction to the build kits was “neither of these should be kits!” - I voted, but I didn’t expect either one could be done justice in a kit, and I haven’t been proven wrong. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm not goth myself, so I can't speak on the accuracy of the fashion, but just mesh- and texturewise I'm really disappointed in the goth kit. It looks like assets from years ago. Mostly flat, some of them pixelated/blurry. I'm not going to buy this.

Overally im disappointed at both of them. I probably wont get the goth kit because i wanted goth lolita style. The castle kit is okay but i could do somehting very similar using vampires, get to work or discover university.

The sims suck at delivering desent content anymore. They act like they want to include their customers to be involved in their creations but instead they enjoy to push out faulty , unfulfilled packs ,take our money and probably sitting back laughing at us complaining and being disappointed 😞 they are manipulating and selflessly greedy my opinion and my feelings. They take advantage of their customers and need to stop and realize if it wasn't for their customers , they wouldn't have a business. They don't have passion for giving thier customers what they want and it definitely shows in the packs they push out. Always a miss opportunity and buggy.

Really disappointed in the goth kit, honestly I really detested realm of magic CAS, and even the build and buy was poorly made. I buy every pack, but never use anything in realm of magic. I just think the sims usually have beautiful build and buy items and realm of magic was just a poorly made pack. The goth kit just screams the same kind of thing. Which, I was so excited for it, and realm of magic both. Just disappointed. I usually am always like new content is good content, and hate to put packs down. But, dang.

Personally I think that EA has decided from the beginning to satisfy a part of the community and complete the game for them. This is despicable. Of course, EA has to explain why some have completed their horror-themed game and others do not have even a poor stroller to walk our children or vehicles, even if it is to fix them, and when no one asked for baby carriers, or a bed. of a dog on the ground to teach them to raise their heads as if they were animals. Of course they should hold a press conference and if they don't change this, shame on you. We asked for our themes for children with the objects that you know and they have given us objects to the taste of others

audibly it looks like stuff that you buy from the dollar store. It looks absolutely garbage it’s not even worth it. It looks like a bad rush job that they did it looks.
