Some of those Townie households look pretty interesting. And I gotta say the Sims team dressed them great overall. None of them look like a clown straight out of the circus as they often do look just ridiculous.

I just want to say thank you Molly, for being our voice on the glitches in this pack. I did finally download it so that I could make use of the build and buy items, as well as CAS. I will not be doing any rental unit building at all until this pack has been fixed. And if they don’t fix it, the way they’ve never fixed dine out or get famous, then I will never use it for that purpose. The ideas that the team come up with are so good and so poorly executed most of the time. It’s a bummer!😢😢

My sim fell in love with Panya Li who is also not in households but is the landlord. No matter what I did, I could not move him in or ask to be boyfriend or marry him. Ended up cheating him by adding to household.

i think that's probably bc he's programmed to be THE landlord in the game. like he's the auto fill in for every rantal that isn't owned by someone else

In the first glitch, it looked like there were no beds in the unit. The family requires 1 bed and it's not green. Maybe rebuild the lot or just that one unit, sell and replace the bed. I've definitely had some glitches as well. It gets buggy if you enable more than 6 units and I have a feeling the Sims team will not fix those since they gated the ability behind a cheat.

Thanks for this! I'm doing a 100+ baby challenge where I have a sim have a baby with every premade townie in the game and I've been hunting around for a list to compare to mine so I can include all these sims! I remember in the stream they said there were like 20 (or was it 40? it was a lot, I remember that!) of these special families and I definitely haven't gathered that many yet.

They are semi-hidden. There’s basically a rental pool that you can only find when you search ‘fill vacancies’ as a landlord. They will basically stay in limbo otherwise so no one knows how many there are. If you use ‘fill vacancies’ these Sims are basically pulled in as interested renters from the void. How many exist prebuilt, no one knows.

yes it’s sooo buggy!! restaurants don’t even work for me right now (it could be mods but I updated all of them twice now and checked again and again and nothing) because the employees won’t spawn in! and also lots that were previously rentals that I’ve placed down just revert back to rentals when I reopen the game. it’s driving me bonkers! thank you for your content I’m glad I’m not alone in experiencing these bugs because it kind of felt like I was before!

I don't have the pack and restaurants are also broken in my game. The "fix" for it is to turn fame back on in pack settings and the staff will spawn the next time you go. Not ideal, but at least there is a workaround for right now

question for experts in the comments! I play with no townie regen because I absolutely hate random townies spawning but im scared if I buy for rent I won't be able to use it anymore if it stops the spawning of tenants?? does anyone know if they can be compatible together?

It might work. The tenant townies are the first time that the sims 4 team created premade characters to fill npc roles. They aren't random.

You don’t get these folks unless you do the search for tenants action, but it’s not the only way to get tenants. You can litterally make apartments and just move in any sims you want from manage worlds and these sims will just stay invisible in their secret void. Most of my apartments are occupied by sims I made.

if you move them into a rental first to get them in your manage worlds then yeah! they work like regular townies once you’ve tracked them down

I may be the only one, but my computer has a cheat sticky note. As I bring a sim/family into the world I give them set skills. Everyone has level 2 cooking, they are not burning my houses down for grill cheese. Level 2 fitness, they are not dying from a Murphy bed. Last but not least, level 2 logic. Shame, shame if you can not outthink your kids or beat them at a game.

In my savefile Gretchen married Wolfgang Wilder and Luna married Vladislaus Straud, can't be mad the couples kinda make sense (also Wayne the Bolder married Rory the alpha of the Wildfangs)
