i would love the idea of a myth debunking video. a personal one ive always heard but never had the patience to test out, is that ive heard if you have the Lin-z (or whatever its called, the alex speaker thingy) radio speaker thingy, supposedly ive heard people say that if you get your friendship bar with her up to max that she can autonomously call in free repairmen if your stuff is broken, free maid service if your place is dirty, and free pizza delivery if your sims get really hungry. never tested it out myself but that would be really cool if it were true.

Ooh! Thats does work!! Got one in my current save, it's a tiny house, and i needed my sim to grind 😂 (The game was trying real hard to get me to socialise with Sims and i was like 'No! Too busy!' 😂) I literally had 2 plates on the side and the Speaker sent a maid to sort 'the mess'. And its free! Same with Pizza/Hunger need. I would say it would be great for Rags 2 Riches, but it cost like $700 🙈 But it will sort 2 needs for free ⚖🤷‍♀️ Befriending LinZ is not always easy, she's sassy and will give your sim negative moodlets (due to her sass) but listening to music, Playing triva and asking for jokes gets your friendship up. You'll unlock 'Set wake up routine', and when friendship is maxed out LinZ will order stuff for you. Apparently Gardeners can be called too, but my sim doesnt have any plants so cant confirm that. Also cant confirm Handyman, because my sim was super handy and had upgraded everything.

Here's one. I think it used to work but might've been patched. Ghosts that die from Death by Beetles are supposed to be able to sleep through the disturbances in a Haunted House lot. I did it once and it did work for me but some of my friends tried it recently and told me it no longer does.

After watching this, I played last night to finish up the event finally. My Sim for that I used across all three events lol and while the first one was just a log-in, since Grim reminded me about the Potion of Youth, she basically went to the Magic Realm twice for a fish and became pseudo-immortal by drinking a couple of those. Everything takes FOREVER in this game so I'm always tempted to 3-speed even though I think that's one of the things that actually causes some of the simulation lag. (I know the Grim Event easily could've been a mini legacy, and was probably meant to be one, because of how involved the Ambrosia process is, but I was being lazy and was literally intending to start her over in a new save whenever I felt like playing "for real" so I ended up treating her more like a Super Sim.) So, one thing I think someone should test or find out more about is if 3-speed whenever your Sims aren't sleeping actually contributes to simulation lag (like if they have a bunch of actions queued up for instance.) I think modders probably already know if it does but I've only read one essay on it several years ago and I don't recall. The other is... maybe it's just happenstance but I SWEAR whenever I was at a good stopping point to CLOSE THE GAME I'd get some pop up notification from my Sim's phone that tried to drag me back in and go do something which I'd sometimes fall for because either I wasn't quite done with the event or I actually wanted to go do the thing (although I'm still annoyed we can't reschedule those and there's no notification to remind me who it was for sure.) I genuinely wonder if it was just the timing because my Sim kept getting the Island Spirits Energy buff and she basically didn't go to sleep a few nights (lol I briefly considered sending her to college because those buffs are so good for powering through) and I have a lot of the older packs which means more features and more events. I just feel like a lot of the invites and the way newer things are tailored to keep you binge-playing. Obviously they want to give Simmers things they ask for, listen to feedback, and I think that's evident with how the sort of Fair-style calendar events have changed across packs with City Living giving a bunch of notifications, Island Living giving no notifications, Snowy Escape going back to them, Cottage Living also having notifications and extending the time frame for some of the event features, High School Years being too loud, and then Horse Ranch... ummm do they have notifications for the weekly big race??? I don't think so. Then kind of phasing out events because there were too many? Ugh. Anyway, sorry, tangent, but like... I don't think it's purely the devs ignoring us but it also feels like most of the features, including base game, are there to take up time and extend the hours played not necessarily for the experience? But maybe I'm imagining it. Just kind of weird how up in the air it is between what we have to imagine and pretend is going on versus what we actually got and how the functionality of a lot of the Sims is oriented to a skinner box model (which may be the MMO roots showing IDK.) This is a half-baked theory based on how over the years I really stopped enjoying the Sims 4. I was using family game play to hide those nagging feelings, and Sims franchise was always kind of a grind when it came to skills, perhaps a lot of it is just my hyper focus play style but the careers very much feel this way. I originally had my Sim as a diver but switched her to botany during Grim event and stubbornly trying to max her career because I've never completed that one before... the logic is the hold-up and while they have to do something to extend it (since friends are no longer required) it's more obviously filler to give something to do. Sorry maybe it's pointless exhausted rambling and I haven't actually uncovered anything remotely surprising but I actually opted not to buy any of the packs on that amazing sale over the holidays. I kept asking myself what the point was when some of those packs were ones I was dying for a few years ago (and the only reason I hadn't bought them on another sale is because funds were tight and technically still are.) I ended up buying Beastie Ball instead.

Ooooh fun video and great idea for a series! People like Carl used to do lengthy, elaborate write-ups about the Sims 4 but that's died down since at least 5 years ago and now we don't really know what's actually true unless some of the modders mention something. We already discussed the Tarp, which would fit in nicely, but I also thought teens and older could use the Voidcritter Station object and it wouldn't work. Then again I can't remember if I had some CC at the time, which could've been broken it. I haven't used it in years; last time I tried even kid siblings with the cards in their inventory couldn't use it.

Have you seen the sims magazine ?? You picking up travel as being a theme of a pack in the future may not be wrong since their are reference to cruise ships and hotels in the magazine

I only made an funeral once It was an disaster first a few hours before it my lvl 8 chef started cooking and the basement kitchen caught on fire then we tried again at the venue which was her sons house she wanted to cook meatloaf and guess what happened................. it caugh on fire again Hey at we had sim Kim Kardashian attending and i forgot to set all of the funeral outfits

peopple say a playable Sim cant wiin the lottery, not sure about that. Also, I dont believe female Sims can be impregnated from alien abduction but sometimes people ppost and claim you can.

I wanted to Re-discover Get2Work over Xmas, (The careers, I never use them) My F Sim is a scientist and shes been abducted LOADS because of the Satalite dish she made at work. She seems to love it, she always comes back with good moodlets 😂🛸 but no babies. (I've had M Sims in the past using telescope, randomly abducted & have babies 🤷‍♀️) So ive been letting her get abducted at every opportunity 😂 Unless the chance percentage is like 1% or something, i dont think F Sims get pregnant from abduction; She might aswell have dual citizenship with Sixam shes been so often 🤣 Also, the same sim won the lottery. (Its been a wild save) It has NEVER happend to me, in the 6 or 7 years Seasons has been around; Never! I TBH didnt think playable sims could win the lottery. It was a few days into the save 😂🤦‍♀️ I got her some gadgets and set her money back down.
