Once moving/avoiding/atacking becomes normal for you, you will start enjoying the game and the difficulty. I advice starting with the 6th. No visible hit box really gets you to learn the basics ^^

+Rin Yukimura Imperishable Night is fairly easy on easy and normal difficulty. But on the higher difficulties I found it to be much more hectic. Granted I'm not that great. Ten Desires is in my opinion the easiest game in the series, but it's life and bomb collection system sucks. I think Perfect Cherry Blossom would be a good intro cause it's somewhat challenging but fair, and it have a lot of user friendly mechanics. Double Dealing Character is my number 1 favorite however.

I like that more tbh. When i play touhou im barely surviving and trying to save my own skin, so most of my tactics are not conventional for scoring. Id rather not place importance on grinding as much score as possible, and be able to flex that i finished what what on what what

I have been trying to clear all spell cards with a fresh save file of this game, your video was very helpful. I got my first Lunatic 1 cc (had to beat lunatic final B through story mode for all those spells to be available in spell practice mode), although I set the starting lives to the max it would let me, and your video helped a lot, thanks! Also just finished beating every single spell in the game in practice mode with Reimu's team, Hourai Jewel was the last one to do since I kept putting off clearing final B on story mode, and all the other spells unlocked with final B weren't that hard. I pretty much just copied your strategy for Hourai Jewel lol.

I perfected many stages and bosses in this game and many other games. But this, THIS is something I never though would be possible to do. I am seriously speechless. All I can say is, I have now a good reason to quit playing Touhou since I'll never manage to do something that insane, ever. It somehow pisses me off that you uploaded this video in 2014 and yet you only got 17k watches!?!?! That is fucking bullshit, I saw players doing shitty run where they almost lost every lives to complete only one stage and they reached more views in few months. That kind of thing annoys me a lot.

Honestly, with 17k views he still got the good end of the stick. I have 3 lunatic perfects over different games that all have sub 500 views as of now. Sure, they're just a few months old, but the early months generally give the most views. A lot of my friends who have good survival/score runs also get a comparable amount of views. There's no real relation between difficulty of the run and amount of attention it will receive, sadly. (Although I do gotta note that Mr. Jovial is probably the only western person to have a LNNFS of IN as of now, while the LNN(N)'s I have have all been achieved by at the very least one other western person as well).

Its called countless training... Pattern spells are sorta cheesable, with countless training you can just muscle memory it... But that takes time... Like... He must've practiced like 100+ times at least to master it....

Sir, I've tried IN too, I started with it, I sucked at it kinda a lot, now after playing it a bit, I can now beat Easy... And not even close at Normal... Like I felt like I tried pretty hard XD But seeing this... OMG, I have to go back now and replay it to master it... Atleast clear Lunatic one time... But sir, you are a truly Godlike, the amount of practice didn't drove you insane feels like a miracle xDXDXD The most spell I've practiced is Hourai Elixir on easy XD with about 150 times XD

@@enilair_2213 yeah, EoSD is definitely harder than IN. EoSD doenst have character hitboxes and shorter deathbomb reaction time compared to IN. Not to mention that IN's resources are much higher compared to EoSD, meaning you can reach full power mode earlier into the game.

I find it way harder because you need to sit through so much more demanding spells like the ridiculous stage 4 and don't have the broken Marisa B bomb from EoSD to just nuke your problems. Easy mode is completely free tho, much easier than PCB or EoSD easy.

That's just not a thing. Hitboxes have never been visible without focusing. Although if you play as Reimu alone, you can focus to see her hitbox.

I don't know how, but once I got this awesome FPS glitch in this game. FPS was around something like 1E-6 (or something like that), but this didn't mean the game was slow... Oh no! On the opposite. whole stage scrolled atleast twice the speed, each opponent attacks made also twice the normal and so on. I got one coined on normal those times to stage 3 boss, and these days... I miss those... that was memorizing over everything. But the bosses actually worked just fine, until the spellcards was drawn. Then the FPS bug hit again.
