Skyrim offers a wealth of spells, potions, powers and more magical effects available for the Dragonborn to use. However, there are a handful of magical elements in The Elder Scrolls 5 that are somewhat hidden from the player or otherwise extremely rare and these secretive abilities are among Skyrim’s most intriguing. I think it's supposed to be insinuated that a lot of the steps are covered by snow, forming the snowy uphill slopes and that there were originally 7000 steps, but quite a few are now either weathered away or covered.

i already knew about the circle of protection loop, the voice of the sky perk and the prowler's profit perk. i DIDN'T know that the voice of the sky perk affected vampires too. i don't refresh it often enough to see that happen. but prowler's profit can net you some TRULY immense gains as you can use the gems you find as ingredients for the atronach forge, and use the rest for jewelry.

Prowler’s profit is balanced by the fact that there are no quest markers to find those unusual games. Without using mods or guides, it’s almost impossible to get them. In my multiple playthroughs, I never even bothered to complete the quest.

For No stone unturned you dont have to play thieves guild questline just join them to get access to the quest, out of all 24 locations only ones quest locked are Sarthal and Arch mage 'room you get invited in to it right after sarthal ( mage guild), Falkreeth sanctuary ( you just have to join DB) and if you dont want to steal the key that house in solitude (leave for last by rading every location first you will have more then 30k gold by the time you get to it). The only thieves guild location you need to visit is Pinewatch if you enter it and clear it dont pick up the 'silver mold'' in order to avoid braking thieves guild influence quest later on. You can do all this right after leaving Helgen it takes about 2 to 3 h to finish. For legendary buy potions of paralysis and resist poison for falmer in ''crown'' section of the quest (the only hard part).

Until literally a few days ago, while I had access to a few other spells, I only used Destruction spells like fire and frost with any regularity. They were the simplest ones, so I was okay with using them. Then I started using the other spells I had access to via equipping scrolls. Spells such as Summon Familiar, Clairvoyance and Circle of the Guardian- I cast all of them just to see how they worked, and I was so happy I could actually do the more advanced spells.

Vampires are labeled as "creatures of the night" which is why voice in the sky affects them while thralls are created by magicka therefore they are labeled as "magical beings" instead of creatures

Unofficial Skyrim patch fixes the issue of it not showing up. Nate didn't mention that, most of the people doing vids for Skyrim like this: literally don't use the unofficial patch because it removes too many of their favorite game exploits like the vamp+necromage perk interaction.

Ooooooooo Boy do I have beef with Prowler's Profit. Long story short...... the effect nearly *BROKE MY GAME.* For some unknown reason once I was given Prowler's Profit my character was unable to interact with any Forges, Smelters, Mine veins, Work tables, Grindstones, Enchanters, Alchemy tables, or Tanning racks. Also some NPC's that you could have discussions with like tavern owners, merchants and even some *PLOT ESSENTIAL* NPC's would just not talk to me. I initially thought the save file was just corrupted, so I just erased it and reloaded before I got the effect. The NPC's that wouldn't talk to me seemed to be fine, and the intractable objects worked just fine. So I continued as normal, finished the quest, got the effect, and then it happened again.... I tried searching online to see if anyone else had this problem but it appeared I was the only one. So I reloaded the previous Save again, and just never completed "No Stone Unturned." So now all 24 of those damn gems will remain in my character's pockets forever.

The two that stick out to me are Cyber Chase, kinda, where the virus is more or less "killed," but the thing SEEMS to have emotions and, if I remember correctly, screams in pain as it's erased, and Zombie Island, where the evil women all totally die towards the end. I think all of the Jim Stenstrum movies had a bit of a darker, grittier tone with a few deaths sprinkled about.

Skyrim is so lazily coded that nearly everything is a spell effect. Go to any forge and jump on it over and over... congrats, somehow you're a wizard, Harry, because you've just leveled your Destruction. My guess is that it's because the game needs a few conditions to be met for the player to train Destruction: - *you* need to trigger the attack; - it needs to be elemental damage; - it needs to be applied to a valid target; And jumping on a forge? - *you* trigger the "attack"; - it's fire damage; - attack is applied to a valid target (you); Therefore the game counts it as if you had just successfully cast a Destruction spell. Good times.

Fun fact about Voice of the Sky, you don't need to read all the tablets again to regain it. The game registers whether or not you've read the first nine tablets AT ALL and then enables the tenth tablet to give you the effect. Afterwards, if you want to gain the effect again, you can just go and read the tenth tablet again, because the game still registers that you've read the first nine. The tenth tablet is, of course, right outside High Hrothgar, so a simple fast travel there will save you a boatload of time running up and down the mountain.

Here's a good one for you: The Necromage perk in the restoration skill makes spells more effective against the undead. However, this applies to not only spells, but also enchantments, potion effects, and even perk effects. On top of this, if the player is a vampire, they will be flagged as undead. This means that any spells, potions, enchantments and perks that effect the player will be stronger.

@@steveno3141 silent casting was op. my fav build to make is a magic assassin, using alteration, conjuration, illusion and restoration. stealth gets broken is skyrim at lv 100, since you can instakill anyone in combat by sneaking first (i used mods which increased all forms of damage for difficult reasons, so this might not work in the bade game). combo that with bow summons, silent distraction summons (summons count as separate entities and as such dont give you away) on demand armour (flesh spells), invisibility and then the ability to fully restore stamina in one click, effectively meaning you dont need to level stamina ever, makes a sick ass combo. then add in smart use of enchanting and potions to get a stupidly high damage dagger and youre set

It's because of a bug in Dawnguard. For some unexplained reason, Bethesda added all vampires to the Prey faction, which is one of the factions affected by Voice of the Sky. Fortunately, the UDGP fixes it.

I've got a pretty good theory ; What was Aerin doing in Mzinchaleft? Was he following Mjoll? how did he get passed the centurion? And because the gate to the ruin was closed, he must have carried her the entire way back through Mzinchaleft! How? I have a theory about Aerin that answers a few questions about this character. I think Aerin was once a member of the Dark Brotherhood and Mjoll was his target. There is plenty of evidence to back this up too, like 1) Aerin having a notable wealth (we can rule out him being part of the Theives Guild, as there is a radiant quest to steal from him). We know that the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim pays 100 gold per contract. this could explain his wealth without having a paying job. 2) This explains why he was in Mzinchaleft and was able to go without being noticed by Mjoll as she was in there (We can figure that he got there fairly quickly, as Mjoll was still breathing when he got there) 3) this also could answer the question of who the black sacrament in Maven Black-Briar's home belongs to. we know that Maven and Mjoll don't have much of a liking for each other. this could have been Maven trying to bring an end to Mjoll meddling in her dealings. 4) It's very obvious that Aerin is in love with Mjoll, and he could have started falling for her when he was stalking her for his kill. this could have been his reason for leaving the Brotherhood, and the reason he always follows her is so that he might be able to keep her safe from any other Brotherhood members, as he knows who they all are. after finding her, he couldn't bring himself to kill her. 5) Aerin must have some sneaking and fighting skills, as Mzinchaleft can prove to be a challenge for even the Dragonborn. so he would need to be more capable than he lets on to be able to find Mjoll, carry her ALL THE WAY BACK and be able to come up with a story to trick Mjoll into coming with him back to Riften. or it's nothing and I'm just over thinking this, but it's a question that I don't think I've ever heard anyone else ask. Your third point is invalid because Mjoll didn't come to Riften until Aerin brought her there after the incident. Therefore, she and Maven had never met. You do raise a very good question about why some schmoe would just happen along by a Dwemer ruin halfway up a mountain in the middle of nowhere. Mjoll does say that she managed to drag herself out before losing conciousness and being found by Aerin, but still... Edit: And another thing! Have you noticed how far Mzinchaleft is from Riften?? No, it just doesn't add up. This is prime material for a Reddit discussion, if that hasn't already happened.

The third point could stand as neither Mjoll nor Maven say when they met. Mjoll may have prevented some illegal activity from Maven without knowing who she was before Mzinchaleft. And we all know Maven doesn't take kindly to... well anything! Too much is lefed open to interpretation with my theory I know, but we might be onto something...

Vampires are part of the a faction shared with wolves ingame (making them allies with eachother) and since you are made passive to wolves, this also applies to Vampires of the same faction

Circle of Protection is actually mad useful on its own if you dual-cast it and have Necromage. Even Draugr Death Overlords will flee in terror from it. That's quite preferable to them hitting the player with Unrelenting Force and executing the player afterward with a well placed Ebony Arrow.

I LOVE Prowler's Profit! Of the last ten playthroughs, I only skipped getting it twice. One playthrough, I put a basket in my home and dropped in only the flawless gems. I had SO many, the gems were spilling out, and it was a BIG basket. Combine with the Merchant perk, and you'll never spend another gold piece again.

Imperial start is pretty strong economically, but eventually money perks become redundant. Having 10K coin without exploits/console at level 13 even after buying Breezehome and all its decorations without 100% looting (IE only taking a single trip through a dungeon for 300 pts of weight; which realistically drops to ~200 because of armour/consumable hoarding) means money isn't really ever a problem. Plus any speech/monies enchant buffs aren't worthwhile until you can unlock richer merchants because they just run out of money too fast. The game just doesn't seem balanced around anything but "normal" play and even that's never been an issue once you get a home. They had to keep adding things to the end game for people to spend it on.

@@grazzer88 use the coins to level up alchemy, smithing, enchanting, and speech. Between the usage of alchemy and/or enchanting to level up anything to level 100. Speech is useful in the leveling of the Thief Tree Skillsets. Once everything is level 100, purchase all properties and their upgrades, even more so, acquire a property such as the one in Falkreath, as well as, a spouse such as Yslonda in order to fully capitalize on the marriage aspect of the game. Do not become a werewolf until end game because: +20%EXP(ANY Guardian Stone)+15%EXP(Marriage: Lovers Comfort)+15%EXP( A.C.: Lover's Stone) =50%EXP GAIN!

Merchant is a fantastic perk, I don't care who you are. And the Fence perk is mostly when you're too lazy to go to Thieves Guild fences. So you pay a vendor 500 Gold, permanently increase their gold (meaning more gold at any given encounter), and can now sell stolen items to the vendor and not have to go to a fence. It's a convenience factor.

I found it by accident. You need to find a breakable wall in High Hrothgar and use Virgins Rage shout after learning it by bringing 100 virgins to the grey beards. Use it at the wall, after that, the wall will break and there you’ll see a chest. However in order to open said chest, you’ll need to travel to White run and get rejected by Ysolda 500 consecutive times. There you should learn the spell Autistic Screech. Use it to boost your strength to 1000 and you’ll open the chest to find Potion of the Chad which will turn you to a Chad that will boost your Virginity loss by infinity this granting you an infinite supply of women waiting for you in real life
