Phil played modern dredge the other day with thrilling discovery. That card seems so good. You get to discard then draw so you can drop your dredgers and immediately dredge them.

you're not supposed to cephalid yourself when there arent any dredgers in the yard (like at 14:15, you could easily play fetchland into falls instead and wait). Cephalids are great in response to instant gy hate , against counterspell decks or generally when your gy is full . Im glad that you played dredge tho , my fav archetype in all formats! * Edit , also you should mull aggressively for good hands, dredge is immune to mulls as it is super easy to keep a mull to 4 or even 3 and still be in a good spot( land looting and 1 dredger is min requirements). A great 5 card hand will always beat a medium 7 card hand

I don't think u cut all 4 of the blue dredge cards. The sb is usually about shaving from what I learned with dredge. You want a few angles of attack.

In my experience with dredge, I believe it is 100% okay to mulligan extremely hard to find hands with a dredger and an enabler. I've won some games on mulls to 2 or 3 cards with this deck more than any other deck I've played. Also your Flare of Denial idea, it unfortunately doesn't feel consistent enough with just Amalgam and narcomoeba, especially because you usually want to counter GY hate that'll come out before your creatures are out. However some people have tried it with the self milling crab instead of tome scour/otherworldly gaze and had some success with Flare. Way better in crabvine though. Awesome vid, love watching people play dredge!
