Vegeta made jiren actually block when he used it against him. Tore half of cells body apart. It's no joke, vegeta powers up as much as possible and then challenges his opponent into trying to tank the attack, He does it everytime.

Final Flash is pretty much Vegeta Signature Technique. It's too him what the Kamehameha is to Goku. The way he used it on Cell showcase it's Destructive Power.

6:50 Vegeta uses techniques that look almost identical to ones he’ll name later all the time. Especially in the anime. I’m pretty sure in the Namek saga he uses the hand poses for Big Bang Attack, and Final Flash for his Ki attacks.

It could have had killed cell, had cell not tried to dodge it almost when it was way too close but still ending up losing an arm, only if Vegetas attack had covered cells entire body that arc could have had finished right there and we couldnt have got to see ssj2 gohan giving it all he can (hidden potential)

There's another Final Flash based technique that SSG Vegeta uses soely in Xenoverse 2 called the "Prominence Flash". I wonder if it'll ever be used in the manga or anime down the line similar to how the Final Kamehameha started off being a game only technique that would eventually be used in the anime/manga.

My favorite Vegeta move is Final Shine Attack which I believe was first used in GT. I also watched a video we’re someone showed that the Final Shine Attack’s charging sound effect sounded very similar to Megaman X’s X Buster charge up attack.

I'm about two years late to this, but the difference in Final Flash and Galick Gun is the energy positioning. Final Flash is more focused; he developed it after he started actually caring about other people. This is one among many reasons so many people find his use of this move significant -- he's using a turbocharged Galick Gun but with precision to avoid hurting others.

I always viewed the move he used against Recoome as the prototype of the Final Flash. It is likely that if Vegeta had the time to charge it, he could've killed Recoome. It's one of my favorite techniques from Vegeta and probably best represents him.

Why is it that certain techniques, like the galick gun, are used in beam struggles while others like the big bang attack or final flash are not(?) ever used in a beam struggles..? What's the physics behind that, Geekdom?

well, for one, final flash requires charging a significant amount of energy. It takes up a lot of time, so it’s not practical. Two, big bang attack is fired with one hand. Beam struggles require pushing the beam with your hands when it gets pushed back. It’s kinda not practical to do that with one hand.

@@justsaying993 it certainly can be done with one hand if you're strong enough, Jiren does that a lot and Frieza attempted to do it when Toppo hit him with destruction. Charging it up for a long time shouldn't matter, the Kamehameha is a charged attack. I was just thinking that maybe some attacks like big bang and FF are a quick, dense burst of ki and not meant to be a continuous stream. Perhaps because they require so much effort in the initial burst of energy that the user is too exhausted to produce anymore right afterwards?

What I loved was how you seen the projections of Vegeta while charging up the blast it was like he was growing and getting bigger I love it. The reason why the charging time for final flash takes so long, is because not only is he gathering up all of his energy. He's compressing the energy in his palms. In the original animation vs Cell you can tell he's trying his best to not even form the energy ball and trying to keep all the energy in his palms until it is ready to be released.

Not only Vegeta puts every bit of energy into this move, but the reason why this technique actually managed to hurt Cell, was because Vegeta concentrated all that energy into a single focal point. Future Trunks mentioned that Vegeta made it a point to reduce the range of the attack and concentrated all of it into Perfect Cell. Had Vegeta not done that, the move would have destroyed the Earth along with Cell.

Similar to how joining two lasers together in any manga makes a much bigger manga, I'd like to see a bait and switch attack where in order to mold and charge up the ki for the move, two people have to fire at each other similar to a beam struggle but then they turn from looking at each other to the enemy so it sends it flying forward. It would be similar to how your hands shape around an attack to focus it except this would need 4-6 hands to hold and focus because it's so big powerful, they need that much just to control it. The closest comparison I can make is two people enter into a beam struggle and then they both turn their beams to the enemy.

What im talking about is like goku firing a Kamehameha and vegeta firing the galek gun, enter into a beam struggle but instead of push against one another, their attacks form a large ball of charged energy between them that they together throw it at the enemy for an even stronger attack.

I always thought the difference was just Ki Density. The fact that it retained its shape all the way into space, and the fact that it didn’t explode makes it seem more like it was Ki pushed in over and over and a lot like a diamond cutter. Thus, the beam doesn’t break apart. In theory, since it’s power surpassed the sum of its parts, it can be used but with varying degrees based on how much you condense your energy and how much you have to begin with, but anybody can surpass their own capabilities if they use this technique.

One of the best arguments ive heard regarding baby saying "big bang attack" instead of final flash is that since baby stole vegetas body and it was pretty early in the saga, baby did not really know how to use vegeta's powers and did not attach the right name to the attack.

In DBZ the attack Vegeta used against both Recoome and Frieza later on is actually called the Final Burst Cannon, which is Vegeta's upgraded version of the Super Galick Gun

I think the move you're talking about that Vegeta used against Recoome was either Final Crash or Final Burst Cannon. I think it’s one of his moves in Raging Blast 2 as, I think, Saiyan Saga Vegeta. That or it's just his Base Form ultimate. Either was, it looks exactly like Final Flash but purple.

Cell also noticeably turned to the side too when the smoke clears, and what was in the final flash's path was destroyed. So in theory had he stayed in place the whole time, suppressed perfect cell could've been killed by it.

Galick Gun is more like the Kamehameha so that's why he uses it more. Galick Gun is a little less powerful than the kamehameha but faster. Galick Cannon is a little stronger but a little slower than the kamehameha. Final Flash uses too much energy to use it often.

Quick theory, vegeta vs racoom could have been final flash in its infancy, but could also be blue because he hadnt learned suoer saiyan yet. And as far as it being yellow during god ki form, aka super saiyan blue, hes also using a super saiyan varient, which could still keep it yellow. Who knows, its a fun move to watch

I don’t think that Cells regeneration was the only factor in his overall survival of the technique, his intention was clearly to try and tank it, hubris from achieving ‘perfection’, but last minute he realized that it wasn’t possible and tried to evade which is why only part him was blown off, allowing him to regenerate, but if he had tanked it he’d be ashes.
