Fil, this song has been with me a long time with various versions to delight me. Simon and Garfunkel did a version. This song is a tradational English ballard which may go back to the 1600's. It's a song about tasks being set to a young girl by a Elf otherwise he will carry her off and have his way with her (The Elfin Knight). There was a Scarborough Fair however that stopped awhile back. By the way, I saw the Elf and the young woman in question and she was as fair as the flowers in her hair. This is a fabulous version. #QcumberSquad #Forestella - Fil, I'm off back to the study.

Dear Fil, After I successfully avoided Forestella until yesterday (because I'm sometimes an incredibly prejudiced, stupid nut and imagine I'm allergic to hype, because hypes feel so cheap and mainstream and simple-minded and so on, blah-blah-blah... oh, you know, do you ...?) I hopelessly succumbed to this four gentlemen yesterday. What can I say? I had a kind of Dimash moment - BADABUMM! And then I was back for hours picking songs together and listening and marvelling and enjoying. And once again I wondered why our current "western" music industry is so incredibly one-sided 😭. There are so many incredible talents on this planet! Thanks to KZbin, we now have the opportunity to get to know and love at least a few of them. Thank you for your reaction to this beautiful song. Yes, Simon & Garfunkel covered the English folk song "Scarborough Fair". The guy with the high voice (Kang Hyung-ho) had no vocal training prior to the show creating Forestella. He was a Rock Singer in a band, in his spare time. (He also goes by PITTA for his solo work). Try Forestella "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Shape of you", "Bad Romance" or the best.. "Je suis Malade". 😢 💔

It was originally an old folk song, but Simon & Garfunkel's song has a meaning against war. A soldier dying in war. He remembers a woman from his hometown. She asks her to say hello to me. She is my eternal love.When a soldier goes to war, he asks his lover to make a shirt for him. The place where she met her was probably Scarborough Fair. Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme there are sung in the chorus.

how about the new version of "Bad Romance" this song is going viral right now. Or "shape of you" you will be amazed. They are incomparable and are considered the kings of harmonies. Their voices are incredible on their own, but when they come together it blows your mind. 4 singers and they can sound like 40. They cover songs of all genres and make each one their own, but always with the necessary respect for the original. Anyone who has discovered it once gets in danger of addiction.

Forestella is one of my latest discoveries. Each of the members has a great voice, but their harmony when they sing together is outstanding. Their group name is a mixture of "forest" and the Latin/Italian word "stella", which means star. So Forestella means a forest of stars. Their names from left to right in this video: Ko Woorim (classically trained bass), Kang Hyungho (countertenor and rock voice, no vocal training), Cho Mingyu (tenor and leader of the group), Bae Doohoon (tenor, musical actor). I hope to see more reactions to them on your channel. You can't go wrong with any of their performances. Some recommendations: Hijo de la luna, Je suis malade, Spread Silk on my heart, Inner universe, Time in a bottle, Nella Fantasia and of course their own beautiful song "Save our Lives" (the music video is a cinematic masterpiece).
