The last line of the song was about "What it's like" for the WIFE and KID of the thug that got shot... I think you misread this one.. does it make sense now?

The walk in their shoes about the guy who got shot. It's actually talking about the family the guy left behind because of his actions. He said God forbid you'd have to wake up and hear the news. Also mentioning on how he was affecting them with what he was doing. Unhealthy family lifestyle because of Max and now children who don't have a dad and the wife by herself now having to figure out how to provide. It's kind of like people would judge them with "not feeling bad for you. You still stayed with him. What did you think was going to happen?" rather than at least being understanding that they lost a family member. Hope that helps clear that part up for you.

Tom, the lyrics have nothing to do with it, but the voice reminded me of someone. 2 hours later I remembered. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4mQgpSEr8lgZrs&ab_channel=MilkyChanceOfficial

To be fair, not all pregnant women going into an "abortion clinic," are going there for an abortion. At least in the case of Planned Parenthood, they offer pre natal services, referrals to other health providers for prenatal and birthing care, std testing and treatment including for pregnant women planning to go through with pregnancy, etc.

Also I see the last verse is possibly more about what it's like for the wife and child of Max, as much as about him. She's seen as the widow of a drug dealer who got shot, no matter if she was trying to get him help or a better life than drugs or whatever.

As someone who does not agree with all of the stories expressed in this video, it is one of my favorite songs from when I was younger. It is about trying to walk in another person shoes. I think a modern version of this concept would be Castles by Tom MacDonald. Glad you got to hear this song Fable. It is a good throwback.

I used to work in an industrial shipyard area and the people on the street would always stop me on my way to the car and ask for money but also give a weird, and what I (right or wrongly) presumed was made up, story of why they didn’t have anything. I always said “No, I don’t have any cash on me today” and just kept walking. Until one guy outside the 7-11 said, “Yo man, can I get a couple bucks? I just want a cold beer today.” I laughed and said, “Ya bud, your probably the most honest one out here so here you go!” But your right, who was I to judge why the others needed some spare change?

On abortion, there are so many things such as rape and incest to think about for a young girl in that situation.

How does education and responsibility figure in to a society that never teaches any children anything? Homeless children don't get educated on anything!

How are homeless children supposed to be responsible in a a society that teaches them that might makes right? Please tell me how to teach homeless children that you really should be fair in everyday things. I think maybe you should reflect on the refrain. Please help them to be more responsible. Maybe helping them out of poverty? No! Of course not!
