@@traktician Like someone said above, Saro uses plenty of of effects contrary to MB14 that doesn't use them much so I kinda prefer MB14's style too And so you know, they're both really good friends and even made a beatbox group together ^^

There are plenty of effects on that machine. Saro uses them effectively. He is a great DJ on loopstation. On the contrary, MB14 doesn't use effects much, almost never. I prefer MB14's style as it is unique.

Yeah, as far as instrumentation goes, MB14 is probably the best loopers of all time. His sounds are TOO FUCKING CLEAN. But as far as competing, while his style is beautiful, Saro's style is just so much more impactful. It hits too hard.

MB14 has more musicality and way more beatbox lvl, but Saro is a god at using the loopstation and it's effects. They made a duo named Wolfgang that is really amazing, with or without loopstation ^^ in fact, without loopstation, MB14 is able to sound like an actual loopstation

Saro is using big effects on his tracks, the crazy noises especially in the first round are not natural , he has an amazing talent also, he’s considered as the goat of loopstation whereas mb14 is maybe the goat of musicality and crazy sounds/voice. Saro didnt lose any battle in his carried. Mb14 & Saro did « tag team » together (not looping) and they won a world competition (non-official), you should check it. For loopstation, if you want to discover new amazing stuff you should check Nme or Beatness (same style than mb14) or Inkie (the strange one).

I believe Saro and MB14 are part of the same beatboxing group/camp and have collabed on a tag team loopstation battle... "How the fuck does he make that noise" So in the loopstation battle, ure allowed to put effects on your stuff. The sounds themselves have to be created by you, but you can add use a machine to add an effect to it. It doesn;t have to be your beatboxing either... some one used the feedback from putting their hand on their microphone connector to make a sound, but you can't use any other instruments.

You can tune each audio line in real-time. So he’s making those synth stabs by recording a trumpet like sound, and then speeding that loop up and cranking the reverb. A lot of people interpret this as effects or auto tuning, it’s actually the literal opposite, he’s manually tuning the sound he just made in real time

I dont think the scene is quite right for MB14, when ever he seems to go against someone with something that is fast paced or very strong base - basically more of a club hit, he doesnt seem to do as well but MB14 isnt really of that style? Their music although put together in the same way, its like a different genre. Be like pitting metal music against pop or indie against dance etc. Also I dont think he pulled off system of a down very well :-/

MB14 is the only one who uses his pure voice, but the others change the sounds pitch using the loopstation, so I would not call it beatboxing.

I mean it's still beatboxing. It's not possible to make this tracks on the fly without beatboxing skills. That being said I agree with you. The fact that MB14 uses just a bit of reverb on most of his tracks and is capable of going toe to toe with the best in the world is what makes him my 2nd favorite looper. Saro is first for me cause the way he arranges his sets is just unmatched.
