This is quite the story, glad you shared it with us. I started watching you during covid mask making. I was one who stopped and started it to get my mask making down. Then you started Fabric chat and I found friends in you on you tube because we were on lock down and I couldn't be with my quilt group. Now I still meet with you every Wednesday morning and for box opening. God put you in so many places at the right time. Such an amazing story. You are such wonderful ladies. I watched your mask video and I recall you telling your medical care background and that you were giving away masks and other things. You inspired me to make hundreds giving them at first to family friends and neighbours and anyone working to provide services to us all. Like you said we just couldn’t get any personal protective wear for those people in Ireland. I didn’t quilt until after covid and I love watching you, you continue to inspire me and make me challenge myself every day. Now I know I owe this blessing to Mike too.

I started watching just before your Mediterranean cruise. I had recently retired but it was covid so I indulged my hobbies rubber stamping and quilting. I was fairly new at quilting and KZbin gave me your videos as a choice. I have been devoted to watching ever since. God is Love and his miracles are still at work today. Mike was your miracle. I knew how to sew (I'm 64 and took home ec. In school) and had made a few quilts but love your teaching style so much. Because of them I feel like I can conquer any project. Even though we've never met I feel like you're my friends. I also have a daughter named Briana and a red headed son that I'm praying gives me red headed grandkids😊 I have 3 grandkids that make my life fantastic. I can tell yours do also. I live alone so watching you and Brianna is so much fun. Please don't stop talking. If people are strange enough to not want to listen to you guys they can mute you or watch something else. Nobody is forcing them to listen. But to a lot of us you are the bright spot of our week. Hi Cindi and Brianna, thank you for sharing your personal story. I found your "Jesse Mask" on KZbin video. With your video, I dusted off my sewing machine and was able to make over 100 masks for my family with one is a NICU nurse and ER nurse as well as friends. After this video, I started watching all of your videos, FabriChat and Box Openings ever since. I'm a sewist at heart, but I have made a quilt panels to hand on my office door. Thank you for sharing your back story! I was one of those who found you looking for a mask video! I can’t believe I’ve been following you for 4 years now!!!! Funny, I was sending masks to a family member of my daughter in law to a nursing home in Washington! Also making for all my family and neighbors. I’m a quilter and crafter so I had LOTS of fabric and elastic. Lost count how many made! Thanks to your video, I printed the template for adults and children and went to town. Like you always say, quilters are a fabulous community!

Thanks for sharing your story, I can imagine how financially stressful it was for you both. It truly was an awful year. I live in Melbourne, Australia and we were the most locked down city in the world, your KZbin instructional videos on mask making was were i began watching. I work in a library and many of us are quilters and sewers so a group of us from the library and our local council got together via Microsoft Teams and made thousands of mask to give away to our local community. I also made hundreds to give to family, friends and work colleagues. Watching your box openings and videos became the highlight of my week. Thanks for being the positive and funny people you are.☺️

God always has a plan. ❤ I too started watching you because of the mask video. As I sit here listening to you, it brings tears to my eyes my husband was a paramedic during Covid. I had a neighbor who quilted and offered to make my husband masks. I knew how to sew but hadn’t sewn in years. Didn’t know anything about Utube either 😂 🤷🏻‍♀️ That’s when I found you and became best friends with my neighbor. We made over 500 masks for fire/EMS workers. I had elastic and she had fabric. When we were done, she taught me to quilt and I fell in love with it. I now have my own longarm. This was never a journey I saw myself on, God flipped my life 360 degrees. Thank you for sharing your story the good and the bad. (I cried too) You’ve changed many lives along the way and I’m sorry some people can be so ugly to such beautiful souls like you. Much love ❤

I have never heard the story, just that you had been closed down to the public and not able to sell out of the front end of the store That's amazing, how God cared for you! I Also found you guys through the mask making when we first started making masks here, and I had people asking me if I was making masks and did I have a pattern or know where to find videos or information on patterns on making masks and so I had passed it on to several people and then some others found some other patterns and videos with a little different style and started sharing them around too but It especially was helpful to know the tips to fixing them if I couldn't get the supplies that I needed, some things that I could do to substitute and it got my brain thinking of things that I have on hand that might work as a substitute.
