When I was a child in 1977, 10 years old, I had a projector throw a roll of paper under Roynel brand, and I used to draw customized cartoons, static pictures, non movement, just one lens, metallic case and a simple bulb. The projector here shown has two lenses, giving effect of movement. Great! Huggs from 🇨🇱 Santiago, Chile SouthAmerica. 😉😀

The card stock that was used to make the lamp housing, was used through several manufactured products in it's time. Camera housings, toys, even car and truck interiors. This toy housing would have been steam bent. The material used to assemble it is called buckram and was used to cover books.
@stupitdog96862 жыл бұрын
I guess it was used as it would not heat up too much with the close contact to the bulb & would protect a 50's kid from contact burns.

Disney had a product in the 1970's similar the the Kenner Give-a-Show, called the Donald Duck projector, also using 8mm continuous loop films. It came with brief black-and-white clips from *Snow White, Peter Pan,* a Goofy cartoon, and one other I don't remember (you'd think it would have to have been Donald Duck, though, right?). I believe the film was moved by a hand crank, as opposed to the Kenner projector, which I think moved the film with a battery-powered mechanism.
