I learned a very Harsh Lesson that season as a Tranmere Rovers Supporter ... Let me explain the context: Tranmere Rovers a small club in Birkenhead on the Wirral Peninsular reached The Second Tier of English Football in 1991 we stayed there for ten years. Previously we resided in the third & forth divisions only having a one season appearance in the second division in the 1920s. Over that ten year period 1991-2001 we nearly reached The Premier League on four occasions and had many great Cup runs, reaching The 2000 League Cup Final. From 2006 we started to drop down the division and struggled in the last two seasons, so our priority should have been avoiding relegation and keeping our place in The Championship! In that 2000/01 season we were constantly in the lower/relegation region, so our priority should have been Survival. As stated our League performances were hopeless, yet our Cup form Was The Opposite! We Lost Our Focus and Lost Our Championship Status ... And Look At Us NOW!!!.
