I am a teacher, wife, and mother of 3 teenage sons. At the start of every new school year I think of ways to make my life easier. Meal planning is always the goal but that usually lasts about 3 weeks at the most. These crockpot meals are a life saver. This year Im going to force myself to use the crockpot more. When our grandkids were young and wanted to help in the kitchen my sons would ask if I "had time for the kids to help." They are grown now and are really a lot of help. I hope little Judah is better soon. There has been a lot of RSV going around this summer. Prayers for a quick recovery. The cubed steak recipe looks great, by the way.

Another way I've heard that you can tenderize cube steak is to soak it in buttermilk for a couple of hours or so. I beat the stuffings out of mine and fry it and then make gravy and dare my family to say anything negative....lol. I luv the crockpot idea....might have to give that a try. I make mine with one can of cream of mushroom, one can of cream of chicken, a packet of Au Ju gravy mix, and instead of water I use beef broth! It’s so freaking good fall apart tender after about 7-8 hrs on low

WORD OF ADVICE...My Mom was like you...a great cook and ... never wrote down anything. Sadly my Mom...passed in 2000 , battling Alzheimers. We regret not paying attention and asking her to write down any and all recipes. I would like to see you publish a cook book. I have tried your recipes...they are GREAT !!!
