Vacationed in Myrtle beach most every summer and really miss it. We use to stay at the Driftwood Hotel which was sadly torn down and replaced with condos. We walked to Sea Captains Table and I felt nostalgic seeing ya’ll eat there. Think the patio dining is newer. I use to order grasshopper pie for dessert. Looks like an amazing trip! Thanks for taking us there!

Oh, Leslie, you and Bryant went to the best restaurant in Myrtle Beach. My husband and I love the Sea Captain's House. My husband always gets the She Crab soup as an appetizer. We always go to Broadway at the Beach also. I have really enjoyed being along on your vacation!

There’s one in pigeon forge here. Not so good reviews from what I see on KZbin. I went to one in savannah but line too long. I won’t stand in long lines, especially for food. No, the food even LOOKS generic. I think her small restaurant years ago was delicious, because she was there and had her hand in it and it was small. You can’t possibly replicate that when you go huge and aren’t ever there. No way!

@@cumberlandquiltchic1 yes, we were in PF about a month ago. Didn’t visit the restaurant there because I heard it was awful. Instead, we spent our money at the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant ❤️ that was wonderful!!! Oh goodness, those fritters with apple butter??? 😜🤩❤️soooo very good

There use to be a PD in Harrahs casino here in Cherokee. Everyone said it was TERRIBLE. It was forced to leave when she made the comment about the bank teller position she had when robbed… but everyone said it wasn’t a loss for the casino. I truly do believe it’s the corporate thing. Once you go from small mom n pop, to multiple locations and cooking in massive quantities- it’s never gonna be the same. I see good things about Applewood Farmhouse. You know, I live right next to Cherokee, on the county line , and it’s just a short drive through the park to get to gatlinburg. Pretty drive. I NEVER go. The traffic is terrible! Even through the park, there’s no place to park if you stop. But driving in from the park , across that line into gatlinburg- it’s like two extremes. Wollyworld! I guess if I had little kids or whatever , it would be different.. or somebody to drive. Lol I just can’t handle the traffic congestion alone. I can see the appeal to folks, it’s a lot to do over the mountain.
