Can you grow in virtue without the temptation to the opposite vice?

The humiliation of the world tempers the pride of the one who falsely believes they have virtue simply because they have not been tempted by its opposite vice due to isolation from that vice.

IN THE WORLD...not of the world. We have done the puritanical route with our 13 children, and only learned recently that they were bombarded with ridicule and questioned once the oldest got jobs in the world...they had no means to answer questions from the pagan crowds in a manner that the pagan understood. We must insulate not isolate. We have to bring up the worldly problems and discuss the solutions provided by grace.

You both will learn what isolation will cause. For us it was suppression of unknown neuro divergence causing an accumulation of trauma that revealed itself in the form of extreme anxiety and psychosomatic seizures. Be careful brothers...iron sharpens iron, there must be exposure to the world for the spreading g of the gospel.
