Thank you for this. I have too many Muscovy drakes. This is shown me I’m not quite ready to butcher on yet. It’s the death throws for me. My drakes free range and aren’t a bother on the homestead. I know I will have to dispatch if then one day. I’m not quite ready yet. I’ll be butchering my first rooster this week. Once I’m used to that, I may become more comfortable with my Muscovys. 💛💛💛💛

why catholic faith ? Why not jesus and his teachings you do not need middle men to teach you, you can read by yourself. Why you need a swamp of evil from Vatican to look for faith ?, we know what they do with young ones.
@nl396Ай бұрын
Sounds like you don't know what you're babbling about. The Catholic Church was started by Christ and Peter was the first Pope, the martyrs killed by Nero were Catholic. Why not follow the Church founded by Jesus and continued by His disciples, and theirs? Maybe you should stop following yourself.

Many, many thanks for this, the setup, and the “Retiring a Layer” teaching videos. Immensely helpful. I culled an aggressive rooster last year, my first experience, and I felt it should have gone more smoothly in spite of having done a lot of research before I found your site. Your emphasis and tips were perfect for me, reinforcing the key points so that I could take care of things efficiently without going back for clarification. In particular, plucking went much more smoothly this time because I was exactly at 150F on a BIG pot of *stirred* water. And you’re right, it makes all the difference between a miserable day and a necessary chore.

Great discussion. I am neither catholic nor protestant. In fact im not really very religious at all but i agree with much of what you say. There is an undeniable feeling you experience when you cultivate the land, harvest game or forage. It tells me this is what people are meant to be doing. As you said those that never leave their urban environment are disconnected fro our true purpose and place in the cycle of the world.

The pig is food for us ( against survival instinct ). God is food for us ( willingly in the Holy Eucharist). Are we willing to be food for God ( Jesus says on cross, “I thirst (for souls)”)

Decide to be child of God, to be in family of God, by doing God’s will not our will. Child should obey Father.

The gospel has us sacrificing that which is killing us, our selfish human will, in a holocaust of love for God in doing His will not our will. This is food for our soul , the Holy Spirit dwelling in our soul, the fire of love , the sacred heart of Jesus, which he gives to us in holy communion

My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work. John 4:34. Feeding family in this quote, doing your duties in state of life, puts on supernatural intention of feeding soul as doing duties in God’s will.

Saints provide for family of God even though they don’t have kids. St padre Pio has many spiritual children based of the economy of grace in the kingdom of God dispensed by the Church. The church is family of God with pope/father and mother/church
@mylipsread3 ай бұрын
What of incorrupt bodies of saints, like sister Mary Wilohmena in Missouri . Unlike the pig that does not give its life willingly given the survival instinct. The incorrupt saint lives a living sacrificial life, sacrificing self will for God’s will, and taking on the body blood soul and divinity of Christ. Our free will sacrificed for God’s will is food for soul. The Eucharist is good for soul. The Eucharist is the source ( Eucharistic sacrifice of Calvary) and summit( the Eucharistic sacrament, food for soul)

Why are there two creation stories? First one show human families in image and likeness of God, made as male and females, families. The second is Adam created with the Holy Spirit infused in soul, in the family of God in His kingdom, as the son of God, in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, with God the Father as head and Holy Spirit as heart.
