Bro, I just did this almost exactly like you did and it was phenomenal! Only my second time using a griddle too! I don't normally comment, but felt I had to. I wanted to say I appreciate all the great vids you and your wife put together. I have watched a bunch and they are certainly helping me be successful right out of the gate with my new to me griddle (previous owner thought it was too hard to use... glad he didn't find your videos! haha). Seriously, thank you.

I've had my Camp Chef Gridiron for a couple weeks and have relied on you for several of my "first cooks", but this one takes the lead as our favorite. Adding the hot peppers, melting some cheese into the meat and laying on the Worcestershire were all winning ideas I would have left out if I had gone out there on my own. Love the work you put in. Hope it is working out for you. Thanks for your service.

I am new to flat tops and just got a blackstone at 4th of July. I’ve been trying to learn and came across your page and I love your videos. Can you please start demonstrating how you have your knobs set for the appropriate heat to what you’re cooking. I know heat management and using your zones correctly is huge with these and I feel like that part gets left out a lot so then I end up guessing when I try to make stuff from your videos. I love your videos though and I really appreciate you for showing us new guys the way!
@BennytheMenace15 күн бұрын
pro tip from a grill cook usually, left to right, low, med, high , depending how many burners , sometimes too much heat for all burners so i would leave one of the middle or far left off( for resting area or cooking eggs as the heatt from the rest of the grill will be usually enough with the left 1 off, of course if its a 4 burner anyways just trial and error and youll be cookin like a pro, most of the time you will never need any of them on high, id go a little under high for the right side

Those banana peppers are a great idea - need to try that. Cheese steak sandwich is my favorite thing to cook on the griddle. I put steak in the freezer for about 20 minutes which allows me to slice in very thin with ease. I’ve also ditched provolone whose flavor gets lost in the mix and now slice up some mozzarella instead - tons more flavor. Keep up the great videos!

We made about 24smash burgers Friday night then we made a package of hotdogs all was gone but 1 burger. Nana and I didn’t even get one but we like feeding our babies. Then Saturday morning we made pancakes and bacon and I did fried potatoes with onions and garlic in the black stone it was crazy. And that’s only half of the g babies. Good take on a southern boy’s cheesesteak! Given that your accent pegs you as clearly NOT from the Philly area, you actually did pretty well. I worked in several steak shops and pizza joints just a few miles south of Philly, in cheesesteak Mecca. Yours looks like it would be delicious, but what you have made is the THIRD version, a “steak and cheese”. Though similar to a Philly cheesesteak and a regular cheesesteak, the thick/large cut of steak and toppings, the super duper soft bread, and the ratio of cheese to meat to toppings puts yours in the S&C category where I come from.

I have some initial thoughts. 1. Its really uneven temp wise. The middle gets real hot and the sides not so much. 2 It loud. I know it sound weird, could be the noise hitting the house but its still louder. 3 Still no a fan of the grease trap being in the back plus you cant see how full it is. 4. I like that all four legs have wheels, makes moving a lot easier. 5 the hood gets hotter that expected. I don't think the Pitboss gets that hot.
