I think I saw another mini docu-youtube video explaining Lavar crazy Training regime at young ages, didn't allow their bodies to fully develop resiliency to injuries. As normally people need a little bit more rest, and that's where Lavar flopped. His training is good, but people understimate how important is resting. And now we got three brothers who are great at basketball, but extremely injury prone.

I agree with the forward remark, but 6'3? More like 6'6! And his play style would work as a power forward! He's better than most "power forwards" under 6'6! As a shooting guard he doesn't completely fit. Maybe as a small forward he could succeed.

We were quite excited about LiAngelo joining two-time CIBACOPA champions, Astros de Jalisco, here in Mexico. Yet, there was a catch to his deal, Mexico's leagues still have some work in lots of areas around them. Gelo joined Astros for CIBACOPA, a pacific coast league, Astros plays in two different leagues here in Mexico, CIBACOPA and LNBP (Mexico's NBA). Now, the LNBP states that every team has to have both a male and female team, kinda like if every NBA had to have a WNBA counterpart. Well, the thing is that all of Astros's female team budget for the next two seasons (2024-25) went towards LiAngelo's contract, amogst other players as well, but mostly Gelo's. He played CIBACOPA's preseason tournament, but has gotten injured since and will likely return for the playoffs in May, should Astros make it. I hope he has a good run in Astros so they keep him for the LNBP season afterwards in July.

Why would anyone be surprised he didn't get drafted or would make it to the NBA? If he wasn't named Ball, he would be one of thousands of former 3 star recruits who never did anything in basketball beyond high school or lower division NCAAs.

There's only one person to blame as the reason why LiAngelo never got to an NBA team: LaMelo Dude never plays. If he was a healthy star, like Giannis, we would've got a Thanasis vs LiAngelo endgame. This is the future. With the new NBA cap rules, a lot of teams will need to do more to recruit the right stars to come or stay. They will have to get creative including offering strategic job offerings (Leon Rose, Rick Brunson) and offering up the 15th spot on the roster. If LaMelo was healthy and top 10 you can bet LiAngelo would be right there with him.

After the Shoplifting issue Lavar should have let Gelo serve his suspension and everything would have went back to normal, thats was a dumb decision to take him out of school but Gelo should have never got himself in that position its his fault at the end of the day

Like there was ever a beginning for him. His surname probably already got him an advantage over other similarly or better talented players, just because they weren't a Ball brother.

@TheFlightMike You made a mistake with information here mixing Lithuanian Leagues.. Prienai at that time were in LKL which is NR1 Legue in the Country. How ever the team it self was shit, but Ball's had a chance to play vs 2 strongest Lithuanian teams: BC Zalgiris and BC Rytas.

Fair criticism. To me, he passes the eye test against good competition. Is he the most of any position? No,but a good all around player. In nearly position-less NBA ball, he could be serviceable. In a small ball rotation…
