Herb Kohl was a US senators who never accepted a pay rise. He did need that money. His family owns the Kohl's department stores chain. That guy always wanted to keep the Bucks in Milwaukee. He bought the franchise in 1985 keep it in Milwaukee. He also contributed $100M towards the building the Fiserv Forum when their lease run out at the old place and seemed like they would move. He passed on in December 23.

If his only option for making a living is to promote gambling, then maybe Casey should choose another field. I expect better from someone who has personally struggled with addiction. Fortunately, that is not the case, but Casey chooses to support and promote gambling as it most likely brings in more revenue. At some point, you need to choose between ethics and money. Casey has chosen, and has shown he does not value ethics over cash, as has the league. Extremely disappointing, especially considering his background.

I think you make some great points in the video. Very few of us can understand, truly feel, what this family has been through. Their bond is real. What better could the Bucks have done with the 15th spot really, than have their star player feeling cared for? Giannis feels family is the most important thing in the world for him. The Bucks actively show him they respect that. That's why he will never leave. If you want to be cynical about it, Thanasis represents the best return on investment when it comes to the 15th spot in a roster ever. Plus, most of the haters do not realize how well respected Thanasis is in Greece. Personally I am a Panathinaikos fan and I would take him back in a second. His passion when he is on the court really lifts a team. It's just that this "enforcer" style of play and over-the-top attitude on the court don't resonate well with US sports fans. But in Europe it's a big plus and much sought after. Don't get me wrong. We don't like players being goons, but defence is extremely important in Euroleague games. And willingness to defend many times improves with passion, especially in close games, which is what most Euroleague games are. These brothers have been through fire and whenever they are on the court they are hungry and try to prove themselves, every day. This is highly respected in Europe and in Greece in particular. Kostas currently plays for Panathinaikos. With the team being 3rd in the Euroleague standings, he is always a spark plug from the bench and a joy to watch, even though he is still improving. The Greek freak mentality fills the court, I'm telling you. Finally, when it comes to the Greek national team, I personally feel Thanasis is the one who keeps Giannis connected to it the most. Giannis loves the team, but he is just such a big star, he has a lot on his plate. Thanasis always answers the call, as does Kostas. I love them for that and I can't stand watching him being so disrespected overseas. I would love to see him back in a Panathinaikos jersey, but I understand why he stays there. Giannis needs him.

The 15th man on the rosters has nothing to do with the first 7 or 8 in that rotation. Power to Greek Freak for putting his brother in a position most are dreaming of.

Great video as always, and I see Thanasis in a different light now. However, a lot of the things he does he could do by just being in Thanasis's Entourage.

He didn't dominate in Panathinaikos, that's a blatant lie. He was an OK role player, he got a dunk or two every other game but that's it. Look at the stats, 12 minutes in Euroleague per game avging 4 ppg. He was the 5th forward in Panathinaikos rotation and he would sub in as energy guy when Panathinaikos was down 15 points. He did have a role though back then, what he does now is being a support cast for Giannis and that clearly has set him back basketballwise. His career is over after the Bucks

I don't think he was lying, just ill informed. If all you did was read the wiki page on Thanasis it paints the picture that he was their star player. I doubt anyone looked deeper into it for this video.

I beg to differ about MJ's time in baseball. Terry Francona has made it clear that MJ could have legitimately made it to MLB given a little more time. He wasn't as bad as people make him out to be as a baseball player.

I remember the 2013-14 Pacers started out great with at 41-10 but once they traded away Danny Granger who was basically a shell of what he used to be but was still their locker room guy, they started falling apart.

Hey Casey, remember when you put a video out about Chet, saying he woipd win rookie of the year? I said that you were dead wrong, and it looks like I was correct. Wemby should not only win rookie of the year, but DPOY as well. They won't give it to him because of the Spur's record, but the man is almost a whole block ahead of the next player in the league, and also averages more steals than any of at least the top 10 players in running for DPOY. The NBA should look at a player's stats in this scenario. Not his fault that the Spur's suck.

No, no and no. Give your bro money, girls, his own bball team or whatever in the world, and it is ok. But you can not waste the nba spot for this. NBA roster - is the only thing that matter, the league bases. Only when talented guys fight for the spot is can be interested for fans. You can not waste the spot for random brothers. And, you can have your brother near you like you agent 24/7, wtf??!

Thanasis averaged 4 points a game in EuroLeague with Panathinaikos from Greece. He was like their 11th man. The video makes it seem like he was one of the best players to ever play in Greek League / EuroLeague, when in reality, he was an 11th man on his team, that averaged 4 points a game.

Giannis having thanasis on the team doesn't deserve this much criticism. Giannis deserves criticism for not signing quality coaches though. Not having nick nurse earlier this season deserves some criticism.

He draws comparisons to bronny the only reason they are in the nba (not bronny but whatever) is because of nepotism
@semi6544
@semi6544 8 ай бұрын
I'm sure the video gave enough evidence that he could play and it wasn't purely nepotism. He was the best player in the world's 2nd or 3rd best basketball league. He was the best defensive player in the G-League multiple times which is enough to earn an NBA roster spot. Nepotism can open doors but it doesn't guarantee a spot. The 3rd brother had a very decent college career where he showed potential. He got drafted on his own merits. Also, some of these guys aren't to blame. I think the team that drafted Giannis' 3rd brother thought they had a shot at Giannis in free agency, which was unfair to the brother. You can't succeed if the team doesn't have your best interest in mind. Seth Curry got extra opportunities because of family relations but took advantage of that to stay in the league.

Just a small clarification. Thanasis did not dominate individually in Europe. He was just on a team that happened to win at the time.
