Excellent video guys! One thing you should have pointed out is the impacts of this speed reduction at less than full charge. People who say "30MPH is plenty" seem to forget that at 30 percent charge top freewheel speed is only 25MPH, while nosedive speed will be even lower than that...
@ChristopheGUIVANT9 ай бұрын
Totally agree with you... a video with a benchmark that would push the speed of a machine to the nosedive would allow us to know more about the real limits of a Onewheel. All this of course with the weight of the rider, the type of terrain, the wind speed etc... The problem is that the data on this limit does not exist on a Onewheel whereas on a VESC the maximum power percentage reached is measurable.

Standard GT vs. Gt with GTS Motor vs. GT with MTE Hubs Test types - Off the line drag race to compare acceleration and top speeds with a rider - Torque test on a hill or two - Battery longevity with each board Answer this question: For those who dont want GTS that are looking for motor upgrade solutions for the GT, what can you expect to gain from each motor in real world circumstances. No need for the GTS, we all know that the GTS will out perform any GT variation in Torque and speed, but not in battery life. Would love love love to see the a visual comparions of real world ride tests between your MTEs and the GTS motor.

It seems like the magnet difference is really the only benefit from the GTS motor on the GT. Without additional voltage, it doesn't seem like you can take advantage of the improved GTS stator. This has been super informative for me, since I was leaning toward the GTS motor purchase for the additional torque (I weigh 200lbs and broke my leg on the GT last year...). Now I'm wondering why I should pay for that when I can get a 5" MTE hub with improved magnets PLUS a new Enduro for less, especially since it seems like the magnets are the only thing I'm paying for with a new GTS motor.... Thoughts?

@DSC13209 ай бұрын
ITS NOT ALL ABOUT THE MAGNETS. Magnets play a huge roll in torque but what you aren't talking about more than saying windings is the KV.. the GTS stator is definitely a lower KV hence the more Voltage. Anytime you use more voltage you lower the kv.. that's why the gts runs cooler.
