No issues at all with the pro 4 for me. Ran a 10k pb without trying for one and a very wet Edinburgh marathon at the weekend. Didn't own the pro 3 but I've ran alphafly and no contest pro 4 wins just by being able to wear them without being crippled.

Agree with your comments, Andy. I ran a HM end March in Saucony Pro 4, didn't work for me, at 10 miles the balls on both feet started to hurt and by mile 12 was effecting how I was running, could have been sock choice of course. Ran Bristol 10k the other week in Takumi Sen 10, superb shoe, I use these for interval training, too. I also much prefer the brooks hyperion max to the Saucony speed 4.

I PRed in the Copenhagen marathon with the A3. Absolutely love the shoe - makes my stride longer somehow and protects my old legs better than the Vaporfly

AF V3 at 10k and above has been amazing. I recently got a hold of a pair of Endorphin Pro 3's after trading a pair of Boston 12's for them. And surprisingly they feel really great on feet after one run. I've always had issues with the Endo Speed's and heel slip, but I think the Pro 3's with the less structured heel and heel cup allows it to better form to my heel and keep it locked in place. Going to try and work the Pro 3's into my workout rotation to extend the life of my Tempo Next%s, and maybe even give them a whirl at a few summer (5k/10k) races I have planned. Although, I can see me swapping the laces soon with an old pair of Tempo Next% which has ZERO give to them, unlike the stretchy Saucony ones.

Yeah the pro 3 are such a good shoe, I have a lot of miles logged in my pair, I love them! Definitely give them a go for your summer racing!

Tried out the AF3, definitely a no way for a small, lightweight like me. However, I can very well imagine for bigger folk they are just the ticket!

I found the Saucony pro4 to fit much better than the previous versions..unfortunately they put some of their HG foam in the midsole and made it too hard..the V3 is better for cushioning, but it doesn't fit right..

Interesting to hear you prefer the fit of the 3! I have noticed the 4 are a bit more narrow for me... but now I have relaced them theres no issue anymore.... thankfully!

Spot on about the EP4’s Andy. (Haven’t tried the AF3’s yet) Just raced the EP4’s this past weekend and I’ll never do another marathon in them! Legs are trashed and it’s Thursday (race was Sunday)… I’ve run 3 marathons in the Pro 3’s are always felt fine a day or so later. Anyway, the midsole combo just doesn’t work for me so it’ll remain a training shoe, which is just fine really. Great video as always!

In total agreement here....the pro 4's are much firmer compared to the 3's. I ran a marathon in the 3's but would never run one in the 4's. I have a marathon in a week....I already ran one marathon in the AF 3....really good shoe....like you, I am debating between the AF3 and Endorphin Elite....also considering using the Superblast 2. Had problems with other Saucony shoes in wet and damp conditions, cornering or running hard uphill. Have binned the brand because of this - after all, it has been known to rain a bit up here in Lancashire!

Interesting about the poor grip of the EP4. I haven’t tried them yet but my EP3s are very tacky, so much so that when it’s dry they have a kind of Velcro effect on the pavement. I found that weird at first but now I’m used to it.

Alphafly 3 works really well for me. Ran pbs for half marathon and parkrun so far. More comfortable than the Alphafly 1.

@@TheFODRunner I ran 3 miles in demo Ne Vista. It is a very soft foam. Andy, knowing that you enjoy firmer more responsive, firmer foams, you probably wouldn't like them. It would be too mush. Fiberglass plate and long, deep and wide grove helps but to a certain degree. It is not an experience like Wave Rebellion Pro 2. That shoe is far more responsive, fun. Even for me Neo Vista would be recovery and easy day shoe with some miles in tempo. I dig the upper and colorway however.

Was always a Saucony man but feel they’ve slipped slightly recently. ASICS & Adidas the ones to beat at the moment. IMO Nikes options remain overrated both in terms of performance and aesthetics.

The question is would Alphafly 3 perform well under same wet and slippery conditions and on grass? We will never know. The shoe of the day was EP4 and that was the sone to suffer environmental conditions.This is not to say Alphafly 3 is the better shoe. It probably is. Just saying that your bad experience is largely influenced by a lot of factors.

The Endorphin Pro 4 is a solid carbon plated shoe, even could be called a super shoe....but it definitely doesn't feel "super" at all.
